FYI, Blue Waters hotel is for bandits, you will have some big boy loving you, right up your port hole, as is the beach over the road. Battery Beach, if I recall correctly. Perhaps this has changed in the last 10 years, I doubt so, you would not catch me there. Read back on my reports on Parade Hotel, North Beach.

I could not disagree more re the blue waters. I stayed there last year and was very pleasantly surprised.

If you decide to go for a midnight stroll on the beach on your own then yes, you are asking for trouble. Overall however you cannot compare the beachfront area with what ti was 10 years ago. Lots of money has been spent uplifting the area and making it safe (are).

Hello, I thought I should add a report about my experience in Cape Town. My experience definitely differs from some of the other stories that I have read on this board but here it goes. I also went to Jo'Burg but didn't really go out as I didn't feel safe staying downtown! So I took the advice of other board members and I decided to head to 'the best massage place in Capetown' Singa Massage Parlor – Well here is my experience:

Get buzzed in and a lady takes me to an open room, she said have a seat and the ladies will come in to introduce themselves. I sat down and 1st girl comes in very cute, nice body, nice face. 2nd girl body just as nice but face wasn't up to par. Then the last girl came in, she seemed like she kind of had an attitude so that was already a turn off so I decided on the 1st girl. The manager came in and asked what service I wanted and I told her 60 minute massage, she told me to pay $600R up front. So I gave her the money. #1 came in and asked me if I wanted to take a shower. I was not going to take a shower but I had worked up a sweat walking 15 minutes to get there so I said ok. I literally took no more than 2 minutes in the shower because I had a pocket full of money that I left in the room and was paranoid that one of the girls might steal it. Here is where things take a turn. Once in the room I usually always set my watch to what time the massage starts so I can ensure I'm not getting cheated with time. So the girl starts massaging my back with some oil. I had to tell her to please do it harder because she was just doing a light touch not really massaging my muscles at all. I had to continue to tell her to do it harder but she did not listen and continued to give me this light body rub. I am use to getting fantastic massages from Asian MP's so maybe my standards are too high for this place.

Regardless it was one of the worst massages ever. Then after only 20 minutes of this light rubbing she turned me over. I said you have only been massaging me for 20 minutes isn't it to early for the flip? She said 'You were allocated 15 minutes for shower at beginning and 15 minutes for shower at end even if you didn't take all the time so the massage portion is only 30 minutes'! I said WHAT the F*CK, I have never heard of something so ridiculous. This absolutely killed the mood even worse than her terrible massage skills! So she then said we are running out of time, so I let her start giving me H / J then I start touching her butt. She said no you cannot touch, you didn't pay for that service. At this point I cannot stand her or this friggin so called 'best massage' place! I told her I will give her a nice tip, so then I went back to grabbing her butt. Very nice and plump, my hands started roaming some more and then I finished.

I really felt cheated by this place. Terrible massage, advertise 60 minute massage in reality its 30 minutes. Overall terrible service. I cannot recommend this place to anyone sorry.

If you want to pay a bit more you can stay at the Elangeni down the road, quite a bit nicer and also appears to be wg friendly.

A strange feeling when you realise that the taxi fare is a damn sight more than the cost of the girl for an hour. Surreal, ah well! Everything after Bangkok is a disappointment!

I was staying at the Holiday Inn in Sandton and decided I had try the mongering scene in SA. Trawling through the internet, looking for my favourite delight (Thai) , I came across Pammy's Place in Linden. For the tourist punter without a car, finding one's way around Joburg is somewhat constrained to getting a private hire 'taxi'. For a 15 min lift to Pammy's Place cost me £35.

Pammy's Place is a private house in a private residential road. Like all other houses in the suburbs, the house is behind high walls with electric fences on top of the walls. The wrought iron gate protecting the drive way opened automatically as the cab pulled up to it. I hopped out, rang the bell and was met by a big black mamma. Oh dear, not my spec. However, the mama beckoned me inside and directly to a reasonably sized double room on the ground floor.

Mamma then disappeared for a few seconds and then introduced each available 'girl' one by one. Each girl weied and said, 'sawa de khrup, ni to mee you'. I chose Rose, a sweet, tight bodied young Thai. There were many over the hill Thais available for those that like 'experience (or is it history?). The sort of girls that just wouldn't make it in Nana or Cowboy. Rose came in with her basket of goodies and was pleasantly taken aback when I requested to shower first. Apparently, the local or visiting punters don't usually hoise down before hand to hand combat! The shower and crapper were in the corridor. Rose jumped in the shower with me and washed my bits thoroughly. We then went to the adequatly if not basically, furnished bedroom.

Rose started to give me a massage and asked me if there was anything else she could do for me. Of course, massage little Bill and full service SVP! BBBJ ensued and then every position under the sun. I had to hold back as I hadn't had a 'new' Thai girl for a few weeks. Rose came a couple of times and was very cuddly afterwards. Apparently, the majority of her customers have been hung like horses which hurt tight little Thai boxes. A good punt for SA. It was good to find a diamond in the rough.

Rose cost me £35. The taxi back to Sandton cost me another £35. Strange, eh? The taxi ride cost me double what the girl cost.

PAmmy's Place appears to be safe, as clean as yer average massage parlour in Suck 'and' Spit (Sukhumvit). However, the quality of the girls, on the whole, looked to be disappointing.
