This is one of the Whatsapp statuses of one of the hookers who has been fleecing gullible s-ex buyers of their hard-earned greenbacks.

Tracing the number via Ecocash, the number 0777* is registered to one Sandra but the number she 'instructs' potential clients to deposit 'fees', 0777* is registered to one Gerald, an indication that this could be a syndicate of sorts.

When they receive the initial deposit, the 's-ex workers' then demand more and more money for them to meet the men who will be soliciting for s-ex until the 'buyer' realises they have been taken for a ride.

Along with the status, will be very s-exually appealing profile pictures as they openly advertise s-e services which then lure those who are h-orny.

It is however not yet clear if the pictures for marketing are of local women or those downloaded from the world-wide web.

Reporters recently went undercover in a bid to uncover who these hookers were but they were thoroughly outfoxed as these ecocash s-ex merchants kept demanding more money, for instance for taxi fare and other things, sugar-coated the demands with promises they would show up.

You only need to book for an appointment through the convenient transaction of Ecocash and phone calls are not allowed.

The 's-ex workers' who are likely to be men after all, don't answer the phones, they insist on communicating through 'app'.

Another cyber hooker calling 'herself' Roseline Smith has a status written, ".

An investigation carried out, revealed that these hookers constantly change numbers duping clients in the process.

They distribute the numbers to groups and associates, the numbers have a brief of their 'services' as their statuses. They then go on to insist that the potential client should transfer an amount of between $5 and $10 which they term a deposit fee before they start negotiating a possible time and venue.

A reporter managed to send $5 but it wasn't enough to complete the transaction. "Come babe, be man enough, send another US $5," was the response.

Many men are crying foul after losing cash to these enterprising 'entrepreneurs'.

I was thinking about this. The only why these scammers could switch numbers so fast and often is if they are a group of EcoCash Agents. It is about $750 to become one then you can do a variety of things including registering new sim cards. That why they can easily rotate out cards and channel funds to the core account. They ask for small amounts cause there has to be some kinda limit to what econet will track (if it is under X then they don't log / track it). Until a government official or high ranking police officer gets burnt they will be free to do this racket for as long as they want. They probably don't make a bunch but it is enough to get back their investment.
