If you are taking cash for sure you should convert your BD to USD in Bahrain, and then convert the USD to Thai baht in Thailand. At a Superrich or Bangkok Bank. If you have a CitiBank account you can visit one of the CitiBank ATMs (there are 2 or 3 in Bangkok, none anywhere else in the country as far as I know) and you won't be charged a fee for withdraws. Every other ATM charges a high fee for foreign withdraws- usually about six or seven dollars per withdraw so you'll want to take out large amounts.
