Another question, since I think I saw something posted previously. Are the hotels and service apartments in Juffair still "guest friendly" ? I usually have stayed at Ramee Suites 2 or 4 and have had no problem bringing friends up to my room. And they're easy walking distance to most of the places, so I don't have to worry about driving after downing a few drinks or dealing with asshole Saudi drivers.

And, while I'm at it, I'm looking for suggestions for a new place to stay in Juffair. The Ramee places are getting a little worn down. I'm also looking for a place with a standalone shower, not the Ramee "shower in the bathtub" arrangement. I also want a place with a washing machine, not laundry service. I hate coming back, after a night out, and having my clothes reek of cigarette smoke. And I prefer to stay that same general area. Senior members, please feel free to PM me with suggestions, to avoid public scrutiny on an establishment.

There is new place open in Juffair 4 or 5 stars and they are always green.

And you can avoid the walk of shame because they have left in the parking floor area all the way up to your floor.

Why surprised? There are many relatively young Filipina clerical workers and retail workers in Bahrain.

Many, if not most of them have expat and or Navy boyfriends and if they don't, they're looking for one. That's why the Thai hookers don't particularly like them LOL. They undercut their business by giving it away for "free".

Your Filipina may have been a working girl, but that would be the exception to the rule in Bahrain.

I know of at least one Thai working girl (she's young and she's very hot, one of the best looking ones I've met in Bahrain) who I saw at liv my last time there, and I know for a fact she's "working" (but now for herself, because she's paid off her mamasan contract). But Liv generally speaking isn't for hookers, a lot of Arab/local clientele and mostly male.

I know almost all the Filipinas have boyfriends in Bahrain. What's surprising is they don't usually go out to night clubs or approach strangers. They used to go to Starbucks or caribou and hope someone from the navy will approach them. I bet the realized they can make good money freelancing on the side.

Man, things have changed just in the past few years. I was confident / comfortable going to Rock Bottom / Rocky's cafe to find some great Thai tail. Yes, you had to fight the "Chinese wall" after you just go in, but the Thais were in there, back by the bar and pool tables, and I always had a great time.

I take it Rocky's cafe is still closed? It's facebook page is still working. I can't find any links saying it's closed.

Is there a cover charge at Club Liv or Crossroads?

Curious to see what's going on when I get there soon.

That's when visitors from sex starved Saudi Arabia pour in. That is when you will find the max amount of working girls.

There was one very old freelancer behind me and a nice looking couple in another table. I was there 8:30 pm maybe more will show up later at night but I don't think it's the best place to hunt.

I assume that your budget is not very tight. For me Marriott Executive Apartments in Juffair is the best in many fields. First it's the most girl friendly place. They will just ring you to confirm you're expecting a visitor. Depending on availability of front office staff they will even escort your visitor to your room. This is a service!. Have a deal with breakfast as it's really filling to have the buffet in the morning.

The location is also good with a small but very convenient shopping center just around the corner. It has nice supermarket and plenty of small cafe and eateries.

Well you will find Thai girls who are not obese. But they're getting heavier all the time. The local climate, lack of physical exercise opportunities, etc aren't conducive to them keeping a slim figure (plus local tastes veer toward heavier).

There's a new place in Juffair a block or two away from Wrangler with a live band, much smaller than Rocky's and not in a hotel that opened up several months ago. Called Crossroads.

I'd bet that's where all the girls (and customers) from Rocky's are going now.

I am a regular visitor to Thailand as I love that country the food etc. All the Thai girls working in Bahrain are the rejected lot who has no work in Thailand sex industry and are in Bahrain for the extra money they can make for their living. Cause for so much money in Thailand you can get a 18 or 19 year old gems. I still haven't approached any Arabic girls as now now so no idea about rejection. But I have read in this forum that Moroccan girl won't entertain. So no point asking them. Hahaha. Will be in Bahrain on Friday just for a movie and drinks. Have to get back the same day to KSA.

Yes, I would say the Bahraini Thais (the overwhelming majority of them) are past their prime to work in Thailand. There are exceptions of course, but "generally speaking" you are completely correct. Especially on the age continuum, as many Thai working girls in Bahrain are over 30 and plenty hover around 40 years old.

But the price difference is surprisingly more narrow than one would expect. In BKK you will pay around 3000/3500 baht for any good looking bargirl for short time and 2500 or so for a good looking younger freelancer. In Bahrain, going rate short time is 40 BD. Which is right around 3500 baht.

So it's a little over 100 USD in both cases.

Surprisingly small difference considering the supply and demand curves in both places.

(a decent Bahraini doppleganger in Thailand will still probably take not much less, if any than 2000 baht).
