I'll briefly sum up some of those experiences. Baisan Suites was great the first time I went there. They had not finished the club upstairs which IMO is a good thing (less noise and it doesn't block out a 4 hour chunk of time at night when all the girls are unavailable) , rooms were great and prices were actually very reasonable. Tons of hot girls on tap from Morocco, Syria, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Chechnya, Lebanon, etc. Had some good times there but since my first visit my enthusiasm has become less and less strong as prices have gone up, management has changed, the disco was finished and the quality of girls declined. Becoming quite a bit like the Phoenicia Hotel which I'm not too keen on.

My guess is the Adhari Hotel, which is actually in the Souk. The bar downstairs is called 'Hunters Lodge' and has lots of American graffiti on the walls and parts of military aeroplanes hanging from the ceiling.

Yes seems ok there now. I walked past reception desk with a girl twice and nothing was said, and there were not obvious security guards either. I didn't try the club actually, maybe next time!

Happy to read that the BW have changed their policy. When I was there 3 years ago, I picked up a Thai girl in the inhouse club. When the club (wasn't Arab, but was loud, at the 3rd floor) closed at 3am we headed to the lift and we were quickly stopped by security suggesting we go down to reception so she could leave her I'd and me paying a 10BD for the guest in my room. No other formalities.
