Assuming $50 for lunch and misc. Expenses.

That comes out to a total of $400 which at least in theory is less than what an agency would ask for:

$200 for 1st hour and $100 for each additional hour, bringing the total to $500. But I would think that with a bit of bargaining, the absence would accept $400.

I suppose a beginner would not be able to secure the same prices in the SNC and it would cost him much more the first time around. Also, there's the 2 day visit which would not be appealing to a punter desperate for immediate gratification.
