Shiel, thanks so much for your comprehensive reply. I will investigate the GCC resident visa further. Her Bahrain resident card doesn't give her occupation. The Bahrain work permit does state the company she works for and her occupation.

I would appreciate feedback from others if anyone has any direct experience with getting a mid-30's lady a GCC resident visa for Oman.

Typically, it is frowned but you would not have any problems to check in as couple.

Inform them at the time of check in that the lady will check in later.

They will only sponsor a business visa. Getting a tourist visa for a single lady is not really possible.

I have read the forum back for two years and do not see this one addressed. I will be making a 2 week business trip to Oman and would like to bring my GF who is a Philippine national with a Bahrain residence permit as a non-professional laborer. Not sure which hotel yet, likely Grand Hyatt or Intercon.

I visited Muscat in June just before Ramadan and stayed in this hotel close to Airport. There is a small spa here with only one Thai girl. The counter charge is RO 19 for 45 min and RO 31 for 90 min. The massage was decent not great. I did not get any extras but there seems to be potential if you are regular. WIR: no unless extras.

Had stayed at this hotel last time I was in Muscat, they have now got a spa. The massage was fantastic, really enjoyed it. There are no extras at all and only for genuine massage. The cost was quite different with RO 30 for 1 HR, RO 35 for 1.5 hot and RO 38 for 2 hrs. The lady who did the massage was very good, I think her name was Kate. WIR: yes for good massage.
