Basically, besides a bunch of normal files in the encrypted volume, you create ANOTHER encrypted volume within the standard encrypted volume. As pointed out, as TrueCrypt free space looks like random data, it is not possible to tell the difference between free space and encrypted data.

Two different passwords are used. You reveal the standard password. It shows the files you've encrypted. The hidden volume does not show up in the file list. Only by entering the 2nd password can you open this hidden volume that contains the "real" files.

Just make sure you stick a bunch of "reasonable" files in the standard volume - tax returns are a good example, company documents another.

Only trouble is if there are few files in the standard volume and the total volume size is large - that might raise suspicions about the existence of a hidden volume. Just say it's free space, for growth, as it's not possible to increase the volume size once the volume has been created.

Of course, they will know that you have something there, but proving it is another matter, as long as you can hold to your story.

If they insist, just ask them to copy the "reasonable files" to an unencrypted area, and delete the encrypted volume. Yes, you lose your porn, but save your money.

I've always used the encrypted file container method, rather than a full disk encryption. But a full disk is possible.

I'm not sure if they can force you to give up a password, but keep in mind that no matter how encrypted your HDD may be, there's always some computer whiz that can decrypt it. If a law enforcement agency deems it suspicious enough, there may be little you can do to prevent it being thoroughly checked.

Best bet is to have no trace of porn on anything you bring in or leave a country and dispose/store it away as soon as you don't need it when you're in the country. Another thing you can do is disguise an external device as something you can simply carry on and off the airplane without hassle, but the device may trigger a buzzer if it contains a suspicious material, like metal.

I have been working in Saudi for a while now, according to me the best place to get laid in Saudi is Jeddah, its a wonderful place for mongers best people for help would be Taxi Drivers who can guide you.

i'm afraid that's not true: 6 months ago i had my external hard drive check and confirep001ed because it had porn, plus a fine of 600 sar (about 150 usd), and got filed (meaning if i get caught again i will be sent back and not allowed to come back to ksa).
