Visited Jeddah for the first time last month for a work trip. Wow, I've never seen a place so devoid of P4 P action in my life. I had low expectations, but wow. The only saving grace was Filipina Overseas Foreign Workers. Chatted up a few ladies on an Asian dating site and only one ended up being able to go out and night and meet me. She was able to spend the night and come and go without any hassles from the hotel, so it all worked out fine. You just really need to get your ducks in a row before arrival.

There's basically nothing in the way of tourism there, though it seems the Kingdom is relaxing some rules and trying to attract visitors. Until they allow alcohol and actually put up some English or other foreign language signage on their historic sites, I don't think they'll have much luck. The one nice thing is, there's no thought or concern about crime whatsoever. There is some litter here and there but no graffiti or signs of crime at all. So there's that.

Don't order something expensive and you'll be fine. Worst case scenario is that your shipment gets confiscated or you can claim you didn't order it. However I can assure you it gets delivered you can find reviews by buyers based in Saudi.

As for me, in the very distant past I've ordered stuff online from the US and used package forwarding services to remove all invoices and packaging material, mix it with many other items I've ordered and of course write some vague descriptions in the shipping labels. This *stuff* enabled me to brew my own beer at home.

Seeing the pretty much disappointed mongering scene in Riyadh, I've started making trips to Bahrain, but that's like once every few months. To cope inbetween, I was looking for any toys I could get my hands on and the only place I could see them was f*book marketplace. Does anyone have experience in that regard? The ones I talked to look very shady so didn't proceed forward.

This is likely a scam. Never pay before meeting the girl, and if they say they will only accept iTunes cards, it's definately a scam. If you think it's a real girl, go to the location she says she is and then send her a message to come out to meet you. She won't because this "girl" is likely not even in Saudi.

The thing is, she does send live locations, and they are in Riyadh. The same live location always. But her consistent argument is that no meeting before payment. She gives me names of Filipina persons in the Philippines to send western union money to them. She never accepts cash, iTunes or even a casual meeting (no sex). She sends voice notes with a clear Filipina female voice but never accepts video chats.

Thought I'd contribute. Been coming to Saudi for a couple of years now and was looking to meet up with someone on Skout. Met a cute girl who said she does massage but only at a spa. Turns out she is working at a spa two blocks from my hotel so went to check it out.

This one is in the lower level of the parking garage in a local hotel. There was a sign and the spa door was open and the space was illuminated with red light. As I stepped in, there was a very strong and foul odor. I couldn't tell if it was coming from the spa itself or something in the garage, but it was off-putting. As I was talking to the guy at the reception desk, he seemed not terribly interested in business, didn't recognize the name of the girl (to be fair, I had gotten it wrong and said the wrong name, but no girls were to be seen either), wasn't interested in finding it if I had mistaken the name, but the smell was strong enough, and the condition of the spa itself looked poor and unattended to (of course, seedy spa, seedy looks). The cheapest I've seen cost around SR 2000 and some go up to 5000 depending on their looks, but it takes a great degree of perseverance and a lot of patience to wait for days until you get to finally meet with them.

I have also met many Saudi women who were open minded and interested in FWB type of relationships. They were mostly working in the medical field, and it takes some time and effort to go on dates with them, taking them to expensive restaurants and coffee places and buying them gifts and nice things before eventually taking them to an air bnb for private fun. Most of my encounters here have been unsuccessful, but for the ones I've actually taken to an air bnb it was well worth the effort. I have not kept track of how much money this has involved but I estimate that I spent between SR 9000 and SR 20000 for each person I met aside from gifts, restaurant and hotel fees.

Willi is right, this is a popular scam. You can have some fun with them, though. Just send a message on whatsapp saying you have arrived at the hotel, apartment, or whatever they say they are located. They're not there, so you don't have to go to the hotel or apartment. Just tell them you have the itunes cards, and they will ask you to send them a picture of the itunes cards as "proof" you aren't lying to them. You then tell them to come outside to pick up the itunes card. When they refuse, turn the tables on them and demand they send you a picture taken from their room of the car outside the hotel. Then ask them to look outside and tell you what color shirt you are wearing. Of course, they can't do this because they are located in Nigeria or India or some other place. Keep stringing them along and you'll see how frustrated and angry they get. I did this once and it was quite fun.
