At last I have my freedom, comming to Dubai on 26th Aprill for a 4 day trade show and staying at the Dusit. Is this girl friendly. Does it have its own bar scene? Any pointers as to where to go around this area?

Don't know Dubai, last time I was there was in 2002, and the good old Cyclone and Garage days so I would guese a lot has changed!

I was planning on buying an apartment in Dubai as I have herd that yields are as good as 15% to 20%? Probably the highest yields anywhere in the world. I just don't understand why the yield is so high. Europe is working on yields of 4% to 5%

Getting off topic now but real yields in Marina are coming down rapidly towards 5% (although if you bought a couple of years ago your yield would be a lot higher because property prices have almost doubled since then). Only Emiratis can own property in Bur Dubai and I suspect yields are much higher in that area.

really depends what you mean by a good area. some people love to live in bur dubai, others elsewhere. price variation and quality is huge, from cheap and nasty to luxurious beyond belief.

try a property forum: skyscraper city is one.

Rental in Bur Dubai for a modern 1 bed is 90,000 aed plus per year, same sort of price in Marina. Purchase price 1 million upwards in Marina, about half that if you go inland to International City.

Absolutely. Just that theres a slight difference between being facetious and living out every implied or literal utterance on a board of this nature. Didnt think it needed any subtlety in figuring out.

I’ve seen many successful marriages with people I’ve known to WG’s.

Many WG’s wouldn’t see themselves being ‘rescued’, my experience of PRC’s for instance is that they see it as ‘needs must’, for instance to support a sick parent (no money means certain death) or to look after their son or daughter (many are divorced and in China there are no hand-outs from ex husbands or the state).

From observation WG’s fall into two camps, the short term over here for a few months to raise some money, doesn’t like the job but needs the money. Then there’s the long term seasoned professional who is addicted to the money (one girl I know has already bought 3 apartments in China) and normally has a pretty low view of men in general. Marriage to the former seems to work, to the latter not likely to work.

Lets not forget that many girls come to Dubai specifically to look for the middle aged, relatively rich potential husband !

Who cares how old they are, most important criteria in my book is how sexually appealing she is. Does she look fuckable? Does she have 3 holes? Thats usually enough to settle it for me, even if she's over 40.

I also know such a case.

Was meeting a WG each time when in the UAE for more than 6 month and had a very close relation (kind of second wife in the UAE). She told me she wants to marry, but I made clear to her in a very early stage that there is no chance. This was ok and we had a good time.

As she also was continueing working as a WG she met another guy, and he wants to marry her. I am still in good contact with her so she tells me all the details. This guy already divorced (am not sure because of her). She started to learn the language of his country so she can pass the language test when apply for a visa. Their plan is that she will come to europe in Oct this year and everything is ready so they can marry.

I know she stopped working as WG, and she doesn´t miss the activity, however she is missing the close contact to her WG friends.

I think it will work out for her, and promised her to support her activity as good as I can (mainly by talking).

Maybe will meet her later in Europe as the wife of a former customer!!!

I had a conversation earlier today which I have had on a number of previous occassions. The subject continues to perplex me.

I lunched with a chap who believed deeply that he was in the process of "Rescuing" a PRC WG of his aquaintance.

He didn't use the word 'Rehabilitating', but I know that is what he has in mind.

He claims to have fallen passionately in love and, I think sincerely, believes that the girl has too.

There is talk of taking her out of the WG scene to become a wifely creature who he will be able to take to social events, do the shopping with and, I suppose eventually, marry.

The deal seems to be that he will keep her in the manner to which she has become accustomed (Or aspires to) and she will be faithful to him until judgement day. I guess the economics work for her, and perhaps for him, because in some societies this arrangement is called marriage.

But is it real? And is it sustainable with a former WG who one has met as a monger? I don't know.

Last week in Regal, pulled out the tall blond CIS-girl that weared a big flower in her hair and got her to my place after tough negotiations.

......after appr. only 30 minutes of doing what has even been recently recommended by the British Government to improve the health (and to disburden the health care system), she pushed me suddenly away during action, stood up, went to bathroom and got her clothes on. My polite mentioning that we had agreed 2 hours longer was answered by silence and total disinterest and a call to her taxi driver. I insisted that she must fulfill the agreed contract, but no words could make her stay longer and she simply left my house.

To my shame I have to admit that I paid 100% before the action (in contradiction to my very own advise).

Oh Dear here we go again....

Count yourself lucky mate, at least you only had snacks and she didnt empty the Fridge and the Mini-Bar (if you have one) on her way out !!!
