Start inside a hotel outlet which will cost upwards of aed 150 k rent or buyout an existing center with license which again is a cash outflow of aed 150 k atleast. Plus absolutely no guarantee of business. Surprise checks by baladiya for cross gender massage is a straight up 50 k fine. Enough info?

A good way to go is look at what is on sale on classifieds. Evert now and then there are spas for sale from all kinds so you can get some intelligence there.

If you're in Dubai, you need the DHA app as well as a valid Emirates ID and maybe the UAE pass. It's a bit of a mess, to go through the whole validation process: first you need to visit a validation station (Al Barsha Police station has one) to link your EID to the app. Then you need to link your APP with your phone. The issue is that DHA sends the validation code to the number linked at the time of application for the Emirates ID, and most of the time it's the PRO who put his own number. So since the website of Emirates does not work, you'd need to do it through a typing center (who will charge 120 or so for that). After jumping through all these hoops, you can book for your two doses. If you already had them, it will show your eligibility for a booster shot, depending on age, or whether you got your last shot more than 6 months ago.

I just got my Pfizer booster today. Booked it through the dha app, note the booster booking was previously rejected until 6 months elapsed since my last (ie 2nd) jab.

I downloaded the dha app directly (https://www.dha.gov.ae/en/pages/view...lications.aspx) and was able to register with no problems after the company PRO had changed the mobile # linked to my Emirates ID to my own # - as mentioned by PT above, when the PRO originally did my ID & visa he had just linked with his own mobile, but was no problem to change. I certainly didn't have to go to any police station or anything.

I tried to help a Thai regular who was here a few weeks back to get her shots but it turns out that you need to apply through an app, and it is mandatory to fill in the Emirates ID details. Once this was available to (wealthy) visitors during the early days of the vaccination campaign but they stopped it after it created an uproar in the west. So unless that has changed recently, there are no official channels to do so. Maybe some well connected people might help you find a way around that.

I was also told by the same but in Alain.

So today I've heard different. My Thai masseuse in a dip spa told me she is going to Abu Dhabi on Jan 4th to get her vaccine and she needs to pay as well. I was surprised. She said Dubai will not give them vaccines as she is on a visit visa, however in Abu Dhabi she can but not free. It is dhs370 for 2 Pfizer doses. According to her no appointment, and its the main SEHA center at Mina port.
