There is an abundance of it at stores all around Phnom Penh. They sell it at the convenience stores there. Is it the same in Dhaka?

You'll find these in most of the drug stores at Gulshan 1 and 2. If you are not staying near Gulshan, please try any big drug store nearby.

Does anyone have a good source of purchasing alcohol in Dhaka? I hate going to the clubs for an overpriced drink. I was at Radisson and, after only a few rounds, I was shocked to see a 5-figure bill (in BDT). Looking for regular stuff like Shiraz, Smirnoff or Johny Walker. Nothing overtly fancy.

I assume you mean purchasing a bottle and having it at the luxury of your home? I am quite certain there is a warehouse in Mohakhali that you can stock up alcohol IF you have a foreign passport. If not, then maybe I can accompany you one day with mine, as I am an expat on holiday (kindoff). All I expect in return is to share mongering stories and maybe get a few tips on hidden gems in Dhaka.

BTW FarEastTrader, we have exchanged a few PMs over the last 2 weeks, and you have been very kind and informative so I would be happy to help.

If you have a foreign passport or know someone already and just need the location / name of the warehouse, then just shoot me a PM. I believer they sell at wholesale / duty free prices so it will be heaps cheaper than Radisson, etc!

OK Guys, there is a lot of frustrated people here who cannot enable PM due to payment problem. Yes, this was a problem once upon a time, now a days getting a USD VISA Card is easy. All you need is a Passport, NID, Photo and some cash in Bangladesh Taka. Many banks including EBL, Premier, Brac, Prime etc. Offer pre-paid travel cards which takes few hours to issue and does not require any credit check as they are prepaid.

If you do not have a passport, there is no option, but this is International Sex Guide, so one can expect you to have a passport to take full advantage of this site. You may notice, most senior members are active in multiple country forums.

My advise, get it done, enable PM and enjoy the fruits.

Dear fellow mongers,

I arrived in Dhaka a couple of weeks ago and I will work here for quite a long time.

Yesterday I went to one of the shopping centers near the Gulshan roundabout and was approached in a quite relaxed manner by some selling girls. I had some chitchat with one of them who looked very friendly (and not bad looking at all) but I didn't have the reflex to ask for her telephone number. This little conversation triggered a question in my mind: are there regular girls in Dhaka who may be interested in dating a western? When I say regular I include also those girls who would appreciate to receive a present from time to time or some extra pocket money without being pros.

I went through the forum to see if this this subject has already been adressed in the recent past and I found no relevant threads.
