The best ST hotel is SUMMER MOTEL (near Shwedagon Pagoda) at 15, 000 kyat : aircon / tv / relatively clean / largish rooms. Do not confuse with Summer PALACE Hotel (which is MUCH more expensive)

BEST PLACE to change money is the Money Changer in the main lobby of CENTRAL HOTEL next to Traders Hotel.

They have a very reasonable fixed daily rate AND give BRAND NEW KYAT NOTES : in return they require brand new USD notes.

I also noted that the airport has excellent rates BUT am not sure if they charge commission etc.

One last "tip" : the best place to get an international call pre-paid SIM Card is at the Yangon International Airport Arrival Lounge after clearing Customs at the telephone rental booth. The daily rental charge is USD 2 (and a CASH USD 50 refundable deposit is also to be pre-paid) and while local call talktime is cheap & payable in Kyat, international calls are costly and are to be pre-paid in USD. Smart-phone SIM rental is $ 4 per day

The floating kyat is expected to sink to 1000-1. They are busy writing over the menu prices. Sorry cheap charlie. But, there are some cheap guesthouses around, no frills.

I am happy to pay way more than that in a place that's worth it. Got any boring golf stories?

I did my research here before visiting Rangoon but made no detailed notes, figuring I'd log in and go to the reports that I had noted. Wrong. When I tried to log in I got a screen that said that this site is blocked. In fact, all the popular adult-content sites are blocked. So, make detailed notes before visiting Burma, or get a proxy server service before entering the country.

Just got back from a trip to Myanmar. Brought back girls from Emperor Club three nights.

Getting into Emperor seems to mean that you have one or two girls massaging you everywhere and putting their tongue down your throat. They seem to have pleasant attitude and some have reasonable looks. They will come to your room for 30k and probably stay all night.

The "fashion show" starts at 21:30. Some of those girls look really young (maybe down towards 18). I paid $100 for one of them. She was a little bit star fish experience and don't touch here and don't touch there. Also demanding regarding food etc. But she had the looks to back up her proud behavior. Also on the cdellphone a lot. Probably younger than the average, I have seldom seen such fine hairs, I don't think that could be faked by shaving. Might have been as young as 18 which she claimed.

Another one from the "fashion show" wanted 500k! Haha. Even the waiter found it stiff and let me give garlands for another one without paying.

It also mixes. One of the fashion show girls was sitting at the tables and I had to pay 70k for her. She performed well but left at 2am. But also a little proud and demanding.

One girl had really nice attitude and performance. Reasonable looks. (30k girl from the crowd among the tables) , due to misunderstanding at my hotel I had to bring her to a shady motel "summer motel" outside w. Yangon (15k / night)

Panorama charged $100 / double, Queens park around $50-60.

In the first world countries of USD and EURO, the luxury of having two babes in under 100 USD for night in cosy comforts of your hotel room will appear impossible. That dream seems even remote in India due to archaic laws causing unnecessary distortions in supply demand. But surely I realized that dream during everyday of my stay in yangon!

But don't get fooled by the word full night. As typically babes will try to wiggle out of their obligations once you had your fill –once or twice, typically a game of 3 hrs and would want to taxi home! But normally I too relented since you too want to have good nite sleep as next day was full of meetings and also knowing that 2 different babes await me on the next day!

Even under 100 USD is a myth as once your brain is awash with dopamines and serotonins after hectic love making, you lose out on your hard bargained gains [ 60k kyats for 2 ] step by step by dolling out tips, taximoney and what not soon spilling over 100usd!

The source for babes is either discos or bellboys while in case of later with antecedent risks of not knowing what he deems as quality is to your taste or not. The tip to bellboy is 5k Kyats. (850kyats= 1 USD).

The babe; though ages under 23; can be a first time mother or would have suffered one abortion causing softness in boobs, you will never know that until she is in birthday suite! She will routinely lie to get into your pockets as you are trying to get into her pants! And once there chivalary demands that you keep to your obligations while she may not. The babe may refuse to DFK etc at first but as things get hotter, anything seems possible including ass fingering, DFK, CIM and occasionally BB but I didn't try the last option as being beyond my rulebook. The 35 micron condom doesnot interfere with my love feelings anyway! But changing condoms 6 times while alternating is taxing enough, however a few times since babes new each other allowed me rentry with just customary wiping away!

As stated in RTFF, Yangon is surely undergone a lot off changes, e. G. The famous Asia plaza hotel has closed its disco in the basement. Most of the independent massage centers are closed or those within hotel establishment have made into pure form I. E. No side activities by putting two mattresses in one curtained cubicle thus privacy is nonexistent and making you wear their shortpant [no nude allowed]. KTV has been always a rip off, too much time spent gaining a little unless you are really into singing and you are in a group of friends!

The only factor that keeps the scene moving has been a few discos and Bellboys in your hotel.

But the later option has a drawback that you play blind, you have to rely on him for what he deems as quality or considers beauty. Offcourse you can send back his wares after paying taxi money but most of time, it's you who is more in hurry due to paucity of time!

I did face one such eventuality when the young petite slim babe; brought in by the bellboy to my room for full night for 50k kyats started complaining about my size and refused to participate in the sexercise after some 30-40 min. I had to return her back to supplier after extracting a token penalty of 10k kyats due to the breach of contract [? ]! But for her psychology, she was a GFE material to start with. Her slim body topped with perkiness was alluring nevertheless!

Since I was left in lurch, I decided to visit emperor in Chinatown. But it was just about the time when Fashion show had ended. Since in the ensuing darkness and flashing lights I couldn't settle for anybody and the one selected through garland turned out to have mc on! Hence shifted to 369 across the road. One babe helped me to settle two FS girls for 60K at the cost of 10k + 1 free beer to my pocket!

I paid 20 USD 5 years ago thru Peace House Travel, paid 23 USD 3 years ago thru Shan Yoma, and from last year to this year I stayed 3 times, paid 60-65 USD thru same agents, walk in probably same or a bit more expensive, don't know exactly how much because I tried walked in 2 times, both times was told full booked.

Central hotel is nearby, about the same category, paid 55 USD thru agents recently, girls also no problem getting in, bed a bit hard for me, so only stayed once, also Asia Plaza, another hotel nearby, in same category, don't know the recent price, paid only 25 USD 3 years ago, but I am sure price now match Panorama. Lobby and hallways very deserted, did not like this place.

Out of the 3 monger hotels right in center town, I still prefer Panorama. Book ahead, it's very full.

There's a serious supply and demand problem with hotels (and office space) in Yangon at the moment.

As more business / tourism comes in, the rooms get booked up, but nobody has / is building anything new as yet.

How hard is it to get a visa for Burma? (I am an American). Plan to travel from Thailand to Burma. How long does it take to get a visa? How much does the visa cost? Just plan to do some sightseeing in Burma. Will the police hassle us? Is it dangerous for foreigners? Plan to go to Bagan in central Burma and Ngapali, the beautiful beach resort on Burma's west coast.

Visa on arrival is once again available. After 2 years of suspension! Think it's 40usd
