Did you get your eVisa by email within a minute after applying? The site says it takes 3 days.

I did not say that I got the eVisa in a minute. I said I got out within a minute from the Immigration. By the way, I did receive the eVisa within a couple of hours of applying. It is hassle free.

Pro-Tip: When renewing a US or Canadian passport, the applicant can request a XL version with 52 pages instead of the standard 28 pages at no additional cost. That yields plenty more passport pages for jet-setters like yourself.

For those with more than one passport, one can simply switch passports each time entering a country, thus spreading out the stamps across multiple passports (except US citizens returning to the States as it is illegal for a US citizen to present any passport other than a US passport to US immigration upon entering the States).

Yes. I did recently in April and it is very convenient. The visa fee is $ 40. It will certainly speed up your exit. Mine was done within a minute.

Yes I have used the government site to get an evisa a few times and find it preferable, although a little more expensive than lining up at PP airport to get a visa on arrival. You also don't waste as many spare pages in your passport either, just the usual small stamp.

Although I am a member for several years, I took notice of the price thread today only.

The price thread being a general one could be a very useful tool for all of us, so I would like to encourage my fellow mongers to put some recent info there. IMO it could be done in a brief way (widely practiced already) mentioning:

Yes it is nice but rooms are very small and nothing special. Prefer bigger rooms these days and not as many stares from western expats when you are cuddling your date around the pool. Try Okay Hotel as it has a good pool, nice size rooms and is GF. No issues there and close to action.

Patio is fine. Has some very friendly reception staff and interesting little pub next to it. No issues with girls. Some nice restaurants in the street outside. Make sure only to pay ther standard 2 $ for tuk tuks. The old guys outside patio will test to see if you know, dn they pretend not to have change. Watch for the beds in patio. They are concrete at the edges. Banged my toes and shins twice.

Patio is a great hotel. I was one of their first customers when only one floor, the restaurant and the pool area were ready. And yes tuk tuk from there up to what Phnom is 2 dollar. No change gven SP prepare, handover and walk away when they ask for 3-4 dollar.

Unless things have changed in the past year, Plantation Urban Resort is not joiner friendly / girl friendly. The reception has several signs to that effect, and the hotel makes a big show of its anti-prostitution, anti-trafficking stance.

Day three at Phnom Pehn 30 April.

Woke up late in the morning, as there was nothing else to do! Had a couple of beers in the afternoon before lunch.

Left for Street 136 again in the evening at 7 PM. I would say that there were fewer girls than in the past two days. Initial visits were waste as I could not pick up any girl of my choice.
