There's a freelancer that keeps randomly showing up at mine promising to make trouble for me unless I pay her. I paid her 2 very small amounts. Second time at a police station in which she and the police promised this would end, I'm not so sure about this as no official report was made. Now I can't feel relaxed and don't want to be caught off guard if she shows up a random again. Can anyone "genuinely" offer advice or have experience with this before. Should I attempt to go to another police station and have an official report made, what are my options?

Yes I know I shouldn't pay her and I certainly won't be paying her a cent again but I need to know how to officially put a stop to this. Please message me if you feel you can genuinely help.

I'd suggest moving. At the very least talk to your buildings security. Tip them and tell them you don't want her around. If you don't have security then you should move anyways.

And the locals who own all of those Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Rolls Royce, and Ashton Martins you see around town are paying even more. Visit a KTV with one sometime and you will learn a lot.

Nice report, Buhuiba. Most important is to stay active and focussed on making things happen, cut on drink & porn and go out into the warm Phnom Penh nights. Take what the city offers. For me the better part of the experience is to be nude with a young, pretty and pristine girl. Petite, young and slim, small breast, small feet, natural and cute is more important than a Cindy Crawford face. Sometimes it is worthwhile to take a tuk tuk and scan brothels outside the river cluster, where Westerners hang out. KTV outside the river zone can also be a hive of gems. Many girls are so dirt poor, but can make a monthly sales staff salary by going with 2 customers a month. Kissing is rare, but that may also be a Covid effect. BBBJ is the norm, BBFS can be had by asking, by not asking or by ramming the condom into pieces inside the bird's little womb. It is true that some young pretties are passive, but they do reciprcate and enjoy being treated tenderly. All of my Khmer girls came. -The girls I prefer are the ones who are pretty fresh in from the countryside, not the hardened pros. The downside is that these girls often are bad in bed, no BJ, and they just lay there waiting for you to get it over with. But not always! I've found a few real gems. These are girls whose faces are 7's rather than 10's, but their bodies. More important to me than faces. Are 10's, and who are eager to serve their man, and they love sex.

-I like to pursue the older girls. You can find ladies in their early 30's who have hot bodies, they know they can't compete with the 22 year olds so they charge much less, but they certainly know what they are doing in the bedroom. They know what you want and they know how to give it to you.

-It seems like most of the larger bars on 130 and 136 are playing rap music. I go for the less frequented bars, and if I can find one where they are playing traditional Khmer music I know I'm on the right track.

-It's difficult but still possible to find a girl who doesn't have a smart phone. If I find a girl who is not leashed to a smartphone, that gets my attention. If you walk by a bar, and the girl out front keeps staring at her smartphone. Keep on walking.

-It seems like lots of Cambodian girls don't want to kiss. If you can find one who wants to kiss you in the bar. She's probably going to be a lot of fun when you get home. Probably not a starfish.

-I don't mind buying lady drinks. They're pretty cheap by my drinking standards back home, and you can learn a lot about the girl before making the commitment of a barfine. If the vibe doesn't feel good after a lady drink, I walk away.

And reacted in each case the same as you did: kicked them out the door. LOL Yeah, lost a barfine or two in the process, but no reason to throw good money after bad. If one knows how much he is willing to pay, just stick to your guns. Knowing the "going rate" is all you need to know when it comes to "gifting". The rest is just luck of the draw. So before any other mongers try to convince you to go to Cambodia even though there are a lot of ladies and bars open and very few foreigners, I just wanted to share with you the lousiness of my first few days experience. Theoretically, it should be a buyer's market, but so far the women have been more annoying and greedy than the tuk tuk drivers. I think the ones who are getting the fair deals are the expats who lived here for a while and people already accept (as an analogy, the tuk tuk's ask for $5 but the locals pay 5000 Cambodian realis which is the real price on Grabcar). Maybe I need a expat wingman who lives here to avoid scams and cheats?

I respond I don't like when people ask that (and always a bad sign of bad service and rip off whether it is a hooker or taxi cab driver). She then said $70. A little shocked, I asked for her to clarify, and she types in my phone $70.

I pay and walk out without looking at her. If I wanted to pay $70 (I didn't even ask about bar fine), I would have stayed in Tijuana.

$70 is the usual starting point for LT, $50 for ST. My highest was $100 LT at Air Force bar on 104. Girl wouldn't budge. She knew she was the hottest girl available in the RLD that night. Here in Phnom Penh the bars have all been officially open for a week now without any issues. That's after 627 days of officially being closed, though many bars stayed open quietly, speakeasy style, for much of that time.

It's great to see all the lights on again.

Now there are loads of girls around the bars all eager for customers!

Prices seem to be $30-50ST, $40-60 LT. There are both regular girls and a noticeable number of new girls, so plenty to choose from. Hostess bar customer drink prices same as pre-covid - $1. 50 draft beer, $3. 50-4 spirits, ladydrinks $3. 75-$4, LD shots $5-$6.

With no quarantine required for vaccinated visitors, and just a rapid test at the airport, we are already seeing an influx of people here. Many are guys who haven't seen their Cambodian girlfriends for two years.

So if you want a quick easy trip to enjoy about 150 girly bars, come and visit Phnom Penh while you're waiting for your area to re-open.

For fully vaccinated to enter Cambodia, evisa done online for $36 US. Negative PCR test 72 hours before flight. Antigen test upon arrival. The $2000 US deposit is gone. Medical insurance is recommended but not mandatory. ZERO quarantine!

Yes, when you re-enter Thailand you go through the entire Thailand Pass routine again including 1 day at an AQ hotel, RT-PCR test etc.

Sam and BB, thank you so much for the advice. It's the news I have been waiting for. On my way to PP in March to pick up where I left off just before COVID. Any recommendations for a hotel hear Soya Mall? I previously stayed at Walabout and Flamingo in the day and a not so good Chinese hotel opposite and at the end of the mall more recently.
