My strategy in Phnom Penh is threefold. 1. I like to spend some time in the hostess bars early in the evening say from 8:30 to 11 pm flirting and drinking with some of the girls. If I meet Ms Right my search is over and I take her back to my hotel. 2. If by 11 pm nothing substantive has happened in the hostess bars then I head over to Darling Darling at Naga World. You don't even need to buy these girls a drink. They are sipping on one already. 3. But once in a rare while I feel like making it a late night, so I will postpone my gratification on purpose and go to Pontoon after midnight. Like I said above, by 1 am to 1:30 in the morning Pontoon is in full gear and it really does not begin to slow down until after 3am.

AC is different because the default takeout is LT. This is slowly changing now, but in the good old days take out was always LT. They even had a different word for a barfine. It was called EWR (early work release) and it was all incliusive (barfine + sexual service). A punter pays the bar, not the girl and then he has her for the rest of the night and morning. I also like a long ST, not a LT. But maybe 2 or 3 hrs, more than that and start to feel trapped, wish I was alone again to relax more, maybe go out and buy snacks, watch something on cable tv alone. Sounds like you had a pretty good time in Phnom Penh. I have three comments that relate to your experiences with DD girls:

1. $100 for ST has been the price the girls have asked for a long time. It's standard and I wouldn't try to negotiate them down. As many have noted, many of these same girls show up at Pontoon later in the night, so if you are willing to wait and take your chances you will find the same girl later, then go for it. I will stick with the bird in the hand concept.

2. I have never had a bad time with a DD girl and a number of them have been outstanding. What I have found is that when the 1st night goes really well (a ST or a voluntary overnight extension), the girl will always want to see me again, so we exchange Line accounts yada yada yada and begin chatting. On ALL (100%) of my follow up 2nd times with these girls, they voluntarily (no negotiation, no suggestion on my part) spend the whole night with me, never, never ask for more money, and they usually throw in a couple of extras, if you know what I mean, ha ha, like bareback, so the GFE green light is turned on bright.

3. In general, no matter what country I am mongering in, except the AC, Philippines, I only want to do a ST with a girl on our first night. If things are really good, then longer times are easily be arranged. And that is how Natty Bumpo almost always gets his desired modified ST (3 to 5 hours) with his repeat girls with little or no effort and no extra costs except drinks and food. Modified ST is not for everybody. Some guys like shag and leave. Some guys prefer LT. But I like modified ST because it creates the illusion reality of a night out on the town ie a date - again that GFE thing. LT is only good for me if I really, really like the girl and there are fewer opportunities in the daytime.
