This hotel is on the Riverside (Sisowath Quay, Doun Penh) right next door to Eric Kayser, the French Bakery & Restaurant. In fact there is an entrance to the hotel through the restaurant.

Ayes:

- Large rooms, period wooden furniture, well equipped, good lighting, great balcony, decent aircon, all appliances in working order, friendly staff and excellent prices. I stayed in the Superior Suite, facing the river at $50 per night.

- Completely girl friendly, ID collection and call back system in place.

- Good breakfast on the rooftop.

Nays:

- The hotel does not have an elevator. YES! One has to climb a staircase to get to the room. So insist on lower floor if you choose to stay here.

I was on ground for 4 days from 18 to 22 October. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

All my picks were from bars along 104,130 and 136.3 girls were ST while 3 others were LT. The ST sessions were a result of careful collection of numbers of girls, done while bar hopping and hunting for LT prospects. Prices were $40 for ST and $70 for LT. I tipped the girls $3-5 depending on service quality.

I made one schoolboy error with one of my encounters that skewed the average price of fucks on this trip.

I visited Darling Darling and Epic on two nights. Did not see anyone worth $100 at Darling. Epic is good too, but it's a place to go clubbing with friends. More like Hollywood in Pattaya. Plus I had a girl in tow, so any potential hunting was ruled out.

Girls in the bars on 130 and 136 in particular are getting smarter and pricier. Most bars will pad bills if you are not paying attention. I thought I saw a lot more ladyboys on this trip than in my last trip (in August).

But I will go back in April. I like the Khmer girls and their attitude.

Requirement is that you buy her at least 5 lady drinks (these are $3.50 or $4.50) and also that the tab totals at least $30 dollars. So getting the girl out can cost a lot more than at the traditionally structured beer bars.

I found a girl I liked on Friday night and returned on Saturday to pull her out for the evening. 5 drinks for her $17.50- 2 drinks for each of two friends- $14.00 Plus one coke for me $2.50? Total was about $34.00 Then we left.

Based on this pricing structure most of these girls are not taken out very often. Possibly never. Not a real monger's destination.

Last years met a friendly bar tender there (female! We seemed to get on well and agreed to meet after her shift. Met after her shift, but she wouldn't come to my hotel (Blue Frog nearby to Shanghai bar) as she knew a relative there, so she said. So we take tuk tuk and find 3 short time hotels but in most cases the staff were asleep. By now it was 4 am and I was kind of tired too. So I let it go. No idea if she wanted money or what.

My must have list includes comfortable bed, good AC, fridge, no hassles having a girl over, good location and most of all quiet (I'm a light sleeper). 3 to 4 stars is always my sweet spot not not opposed to paying a little more to get a splash of luxury.

Lux Riverside Hotel. It is on Street 136, very near the riverside.

For a quiet room, you need to ask for the rooms that has the inside windows, facing the courtyard. The rooms facing Street 136 might be noisy.

It has everything you ask for, except maybe the frig. It is the small fridge that most other hotels have.

I always get a King Superior for $50 per night. You should be able to get that rate if you email the hotel. If you get it via Agoda, it is a few dollars more.

I got the recommendation for a ST hotel near 51, but there's got to be something around 136 that won't ask for my ID. Sorry I keep noting that I don't want to be carded by the front desk, but a ST hotel on Patpong once requested an ID from me and I don't need that kids the of exposure.

I tried to follow this advice...... On return I told driver $1, showed him gps and he said $3. I said $2 which is what I intended to pay and started to walk. He stopped by and said he'll take you , passing me to another driver. I got rid of some of the Cambodian change I got from Malai.

Good report. That is the place. Selection may well be better after 5 pm.

Note that the girls may change their numbers, and obviously new girls may be given the numbers of others who have left.

It's refreshing that you had little difficulty getting the correct $7 price. So many reports here of the desk ripping off newbies. Simply saying 'I always pay $7' or 'I paid $6 before' seems to work.

I believe the second girl was telling the truth about what she gets ($50). Some of these girls will not do BJs and some who will agree will only do covered BJs. My view is that if they are reluctant it isn't going to be any good. Offering them a lot more can be unfairly coercive, and can backfire.

There is no comparison between this kind of place and Soi 6 in Pattaya. The average quality and performance of these girls just can't be worth $7+50 or $15+80, although good luck to them if / when they get it.

The only quibble I have is you mentioned not tipping. Tipping here is only seen as an indication that you want to pay more than the agreed price of anything, and can have very negative repercussions.

What you did with the tuktuk works perfectly well with the girls. You stood firm on $2 and got the ride you wanted. Did it cross your mind that you should tip him an extra dollar? He would only have seen you as finally paying $3.

Viets are white skinned and to my eye far better looking. As a rule I don't find Khmer gals attractive. The one that have a lot of Chinese in them are ok. Also a very different culture. Different attitudes towards sex as well. You did not go to Vietnam for Viet gals back in the day; you went to Cambo.

Massage brothel variously known as '168' '252' 'Yang Mei' 'Yang Chou'.

1) Do not arrive by tuktuk or motodop.

2) Have $7 exact change for massage.

3) Do not approach the desk. Sit at fish bowl and make selection. Casually confirm with staff you know the price is $7 / hour.

4) Once in room with girl, tell her you want a massage. Fairly early in the proceedings let her know that you pay $25 for nyum nyum boom boom. Add that you pay the cashier $7.

5) Give her time to agree. Usual rules of negotiation: be pleasant, friendly, stick to your price.

6) Afterwards, give her the agreed fee, as opposed to more than the agreed fee.

7) Walk with her to the cashier and hand him the $7. They may try to charge you more if you overrun the 60 minutes, so you might like to note the time.

I tried to follow this advice. I went there around 1 pm, hopefully correct place, diagonally across from a Thai restaurant. I walked up the steps and I sat down. Mamasan sat down next me and I said $7 per hour, she nodded and told me about the Vietnamese and Cambodians colors. There were not many Vietnamese and none seemed interesting. Could not speak english, When she got up I did not think she was as skinny from bottom, she was not bad but kind of had 2nd thoughts. Anyway, she would not budge, maybe she said $60 but I was like $25. Finally I got annoyed and said $25 or $0. She still did not agree so I got up and walked out. I told mamasan I was not happy and wanted another. This time I chose #4 who was my 2nd choice initially. She was not even visible but I remember her and told mamasan. She was cuter than the first. Her name was something like Malai. As 15 minutes I spent with first girl had passed, the cashier insisted I pay, I gave him $7.

We get to the room and this girls english sucked too but at least she could converse. She starts massaging, better than the first girl. And then I ask about boom boom. She says $60 , I say $25 , finally she says $30 and for the $5 I was not going to waste any more time. This negotiation was killing the fun. This is why I like Soi 6 in Pattaya better.

Then when were about to start I realized my mistake. Stupid of me to assume that boom boom includes blow job. I forgot the nyum nyum. She would not do it. I kept saying for $30 I want nyum nyum boom boom but she said that's not what we agreed. This went back and forth for a bit and totally killed mood. She was saying something like no boom boom you still pay $30 cause we agreed or outside. That did not sound pleasant so forked up another $5 to add in the nyum nyum. She then started and rectified the mood kill. It was good, tried a few positions and then finished and paid. Enjoyed it but was not worth the hassle for sure. Though slightly more expensive the soapies I've tried in Thailand and Soi 6 I've had better experience.

She said most people do pay her $50 for both nyum nyum and boom boom

Had to give her $40 because I did not have any 5's but she gave me $5 change in real so it was fine. I thought desk was going to milk me for another $7 because I tried two girls but I just walked down the steps and out without even going back to fishbowl room.

So all in all maybe I overpaid $10 but no tip so not too off.

If you take the tuk tuk to that place, or if the tuk tuk driver follows you there, you can probably get the normal price by just standing you ground and stating that you will pay the normal price and be prepare to walk out. But not sure since I've never been to that place.

If you let any driver (especially from the riverside) take you to st252 you will be walking out.

Take a tuk to Lucky Supermarket on Sihanouk. It's a short walk from there.

Where dol you normally tell the tuk tuk to drop off? Since advised not to arrive by tuk tuk.

I don't normally go to that area, but I would just say Street 252, and say stop away from that place. Street 252 is a very short street. Note: some transport drivers won't know where it is if you say Street 252. One advantage of taking a tuk tuk from a tourist area (such as Street 136) is that the driver will ask other drivers where it is if he doesn't know where it is. You can potentially get the tuk tuk for $1.25 or $1.50, especially if you get the tuk tuk away from the local team that hangs around Street 136. During the night, there will be tuk tuks that hang around on the other side of riverside, but those drivers normally will not speak any English. The solution is to get a smart phone with Google maps, and you tell them where to go.

If you take the tuk tuk to that place, or if the tuk tuk driver follows you there, you can probably get the normal price by just standing you ground and stating that you will pay the normal price (with a smile) and be prepare to walk out. But not sure since I've never been to that place.
