The best way is to tell the driver you pay him good money so he does not need much commission from these shops. There are many good drivers and many cunning ones. So you need to try a few and keep the one you trust. The drivers like the most to take you to the fish bowl type of places, because they give out best commissions. These local joints do not give much commission, so you need to pay the drivers more instead, always tell them you want to see local lady houses, not the fish bowl massages.

Each driver has different knowledge of different places, it's impossible to know all these places, simply too many. So I tend to use many different drivers to cover more grounds. If you try more drivers, eventually you will run into some honest driver with good knowledge.

I have been in Phnom Penh for 2 days. This trip I wanted to check some places outside the tourist zones. I tried a few tuk tuk drivers, but most of them take me to these small Viet joints disguised as other business or massage parlours, one young tuktuk took me to some place near airport with karaoke style setting, there I found a ridiculously cute Cambodian girl. I think I paid much more than locals pay and the tuk tuk commission on top, I paid her to go a day and half from 10 PM to next 7 PM, I felt a bit wasted the money, 180 USD, that was all I could get down from 250 they demanded. But the girl must be poor still using these phone that has no color or picture function. And her pussy seems quite big compare her age. And she completely clueless about the most basic English. A GF session half condom then half bb because she saw I could not come, she took off for me. I got bored after one shot, her English level was non existent, I set her free at 3 AM, try to ask me taxi money 10, but I refused.

Next day, I found a shop near Russian market advertise as karaoke, but there were 8 Viet girls, 2 were very doable, but the papasan does not allow over night, allow ST outside visit, I took one to my room for 60, I still prefer Viet, they simply more fun in bed than Khmer. The night went to Darling, and had the worst session from there in about 15 tries. I did not pick the girl but this Khmer girl was next to me at the bar, and danced and rubbed her pussy on my knees, I thought she would be a good performer, I was wrong, the first early runner I had in Cambodia. 100 USD for WTF 40 min, terrible BBBJ, and phone rang all the time. I think next 3 days, I would not pick Khmer girl, I just focus on Viet, personally I always have more fun with Viet.

I know LE Cyrcee. All girl go with custommers. Not very offen a girl say no. But it is always her right to say no, if she don't like the custommer.

These Phnom Penh bar girls have freedom to choose customers. They do reject customers for different reasons. This story sounds like the the girl making excuse not to go out with particular customer. I also have been rejected before in 130,136ST bars and also discos. One time I guess my offer was too low, I was not willing to pay more than 50, but obviously the lady thinks she can sell easily 80, and tried to push her friend to me. Another time I bought several lady drinks and about to take out a lady even paid her bar fine, then she suddenly said sorry she could not go because her period just came, so I took another girl instead, later found out that girl was waiting for her Korean big spender so made up the story to refuse me.

When get refused by working girl, just move on to next target, it's all only a business transaction. I think the only places you won't get refused is these fish bowl joints that target tourists.

Stay home. If you are worried about danger spending 35 bucks on a hottie, then you should stay home and hide your money in your mattress. There are enough like you over here already.

If 35-40 is too much, then in Phnom Penh you are left with a few options. One is the local hole in the wall brothels. There are still some Svay Pak looking places outskirts of town. Of course the scale probably no where near it. I have never been but heard it from long time Cambo expats and can confirm they still exist, price 10 or less per pop. You need a very trustworthy tuk tuk to guide you. The risk is high in these places. Police trap, NGO traps all sort of scams. Second option is street freelancers, normally you can find many freelancers around Waat Phnom at night. But my last 2 trips I did not see any there. But if you go up north more, near the bridge sometimes you can find freelancers around there, I saw some last trip, and talked to a few, they started at 50, but go down to 30 quickly, if you bargain hard maybe 20, these places are dark, better you bring a flash light to check their face and figure before you buy. I saw a few young ones there looked decent in the dark, not sure how they look in the bright light.

Then it's the sex joints in camouflage as salon shop, coffee shop, massage shop, KTV shop, restaurants, grocery stores, ect. You need to do some leg work and be very observant to figure out which shop looks suspicious, when it looks suspicious, it probably is. As a foreign tourist, probably hard for you to get local price 15-20, because most of these places do not want our business, some places rejected me, some waved me away, some just said to me no lady no lady even 4-5 sitting in front of me, some said to me only Cambodian, so takes some trial and error to figure out the hidden local venues. In the tourist market, 35-40 has become the low end, I met a few nicer ones in 130,136St, and they were quite firm at 50, maybe you are a good businessman you can slice another 10 at most, plus drinks and 10 BF, average take out fee comes to 60-70. In the higher end, I have taken girls out from a few karaokes Casa, Echo, Club 88,ect, the minimum is 100,20 to mamasan, plus drinks and room fee, around 150 at the end. Pontoon girls 30-50 range, Darling everyone wants 100. Lots of Chinese gamblers there so don't expect things too cheap.

Cambodia has moved away from the 5 dollar lady house scene for a few years already. Back 10-15 years ago, I went to Cambodia just like everyone else we all ventured into the brothel houses in the outskirt just like a sightseeing trip, I don't want to sound like a saint, I also felt somewhat excited to be surrounded by hundreds of girls and also felt strong sympathy at the same time, a really mixed feeling. Cambodia has moved on, we just have to adapt to the new environment.

I'm kind of thinking to get A good tuk tuk driver. 'price 10 or less per pop' and take the risk of being dune by the scum bags (hum) I guess you get what you pay for duck.

It means a situation where a Non- Goverment Organization (e. G. One devoted to rescuing trafficked women) might be monitoring the comings and goings possibly in conjunction with police. Based on my experiences I think the chances of this are extremely rare to non-existent but it is true that there is more potential for difficult situations to arise in these places. Having sampled some street and fishbowl action in the less salubrious parts of PP I don't think the thrill or $$ savings are worth any grief and poor performance that you are likely to get. So many nice Khmer GFE to be had. Just my 2 cents.

I am in 2 minds at the moment; Should I call me friend in Mombasa and we can arrange a holiday to Tanzania.

Well he recons that the price and chose in Tanzania is far better then Kenya. And in Kenya we are talking less then 30 USD for LT over night and this is from the best clubs in town! White man prices an all!

I'm going back in December and interested to try, but can / should I?

Overall, I found the massage experience very average in Phnom Penh. Many legit places river side that do very average massages. Want to explore further this time.
