I visited PP for 3 days in March. Here is a quick review.
I visited the following bars:
1. Darling Darling. Nice bar with many freelancers, young girls. I was there on Monday night. Some of the girls clearly seeking for asian customers and gave me bad eye. I bought some drinks to a cutie but did not take her to my hotel since this was my first night and I was tired after travelling a long way.
2. Bars on streets 104,136. Many bars and girls but the quality of the girls was not that good IMO. Took one girl, 27 years from Sweet Lemon bar on 136 street to my hotel for LT. A picture of her boobs attached.
3. Shanghai bar. This bar has many girls and is a bit more upscale compared to the others. I played billiard with some girls but did not ask for a takeout. Quality of the girls was OK.
4. Sorya mall. Girls not so nice here, some real dogs. This place is for budget mongers, for real Spertos, who want cheap pussy and don't care for looks so much. Not my cup of tea.
5. LE Cyrcee. I visited this place on Tuesday night. Maybe 10 girls available. None of them appealed to me enough to take them into the room. I took a drink with Abby and left.
6. Pontoon. This disco was pretty good on Wednesday evening, many girls. I took a busty one to my room for ST. Picture attached.
This was my first time in Cambodia, probably the last as well. There are much better options and better looking girls in other countries in Asia.
Cheers,
FF.

Posts: 24Beware of the bouncer at Pontoon
I got robbed by him and his two friends at Christmas day.
Everything started out good, the music was good, quite some people and a decent number of attractive ladies.
After midnight I have had one drink too much so I dropped my glass on my way out from the toilet. Big mistake.
I was calm and said I was sorry, but even so I got brutally dragged in to a small room back side by the security guard and his two staff friends.
"You broke a glass!" he told me "and now you have to pay $20 because of that!
Once again I said I was sorry but he would not accept that for an answer and would not let me walk away.
I tried by giving him the money I had in my front pocket which was almost $10. Now remember that a glass in Cambodia costs around $1.
Then he searched all of my pockets for money and found my $20 bill in another pocket.
He took it away from me and then, after taking $20 away from me even though a glass is just $1 in Cambodia, they finally let me go.
Since I will be living here in Phnom Penh I would have been spending my money in their nightclub twice a week for a year or two, but since they could not treat me fair and had to rob me, I will Never go back there.
The first impression of Pontoon is that it is a good nightclub but no, if you make a small mistake, it's a very dodgy place, especially towards foreigners.

Speaking of walking, I always prefer to walk rather than deal with taxi or tuk tuk drivers regardless of my location. In many ways, I feel safer than getting in a random taxi or tuk tuk.
Case in point -- last night. When leaving Pontoon, I decided to make an exception to this rule by availing myself to the many tuk tuk's parked outside. It's only a short distance to my hotel but it was quite late so thought maybe safer just to get a ride. I asked the driver if he knew the location of the Blue Lime. He said yes and wanted $3, which is a ridiculous price for a 3 minute ride. I said no deal. Then he came down to $2. I said no deal. I walked away and he quickly agreed to my original stated price of 1. 50.
Climbed in the tuk tuk. Next thing I realize is we are down on the Quay by the riverfront far from my hotel. Realized he did not know the location of the hotel and told him let me out. He asks another guy with a tuk tuk where the hotel is and this guy does not admit he knows location either, though I ask the second tuk tuk guy if he knows location and he says yes. I climb in. But the 2nd tuk tuk guy won't leave because the first driver wants to be paid for taking me to the wrong location due to his bald faced lie. 2nd driver sits there. I tell him start driving or I walk. Guess he is protecting some doofus he does not even know. Finally, the 2nd guy drives as the other guy is following us yelling about being paid. When I saw my approximate street location, I asked the tuk tuk to turn left as the first tuk tuk had passed us unaware of where I was going.
I had to take a quick right in a side alley to arrive at my hotel and the 2nd guy hangs at the front of alley while I am yelling at him to continue up alley to hotel. He is waiting for other driver to realize where I am going.
The door was locked to my hotel when I arrive so had to bang on it several times to wake security but fortunately never saw first driver again. Next time I walk.

Have you noticed how a lot of slim young Khmer girls walk as if they have something large in their pussy especially when wearing flip flips.

When I arrived at hotel, the front desk clerk asked me if I was expecting someone else to arrive later. The answer was no though later I thought perhaps I should have said yes but then perhaps she would have wanted more information like her name. While I was sitting in the lobby filling out my registration forms, the same girl came over and asked me again if I was expecting a fried to arrive later. I suppose this is to ensure that there are no misunderstandings because there is a sign on their sliding front door that says 'No sex travelers allowed'.
I kind of understand why some more expensive hotels put this policy in place. It may be a social and moral statement but they may also have encountered problems with girls leaving the room in the middle of night arguing about money or they are drunk and shouting etc. disturbing other residents who pay a pretty penny to stay there.
Anyway, it's a nice hotel and I stayed there an additional night because I was too lazy to move. However, after visiting Pontoon and Heart of Darkness last night, I realized there is quite a bit of talent in PP and I need to find another hotel. There is a large hotel next door to Blue Lime called Okay Boutique Hotel. It covers 14 floors with a pool on top floor and very nice large rooms and the front desk offered me the room for $45 per night, after initially quoting $50. I see nothing on their website or signs around the front desk discussing/forbidding bringing girls or joiner fees and fairly certain I read something in this thread where a poster noted it was GF though can't find it.
I did not care for Heart of Darkness very much though there were a team of local hotties at this disco I later saw at Pontoon. It may be partially gay as there were quite a few local guys there dancing around and not chatting with the girls.
Pontoon, on the other hand, had a multitude of hot girls. One girl sat next to me after a while and we ended up kissing and light petting after only a few minutes of sitting together. I told her about my predictament with the hotel. After an hour or so, she left due to the late hour but we exchanged numbers. My guess is she went elsewhere as the punters were few and far between. There were quite a few girls, more or less during this time, getting in line and eyeing me. After the first girl left, a very attractive Viet girl sat next to me as I had moved to the couch. She had a large tatoo on her back of a lotus flower. Think she said her name was Lan and had been in PP for a three months. After a few minutes, I told her about the hotel situation and she said that she had a room nearby. Doubt if it was her room but a short term place she knew. Not really my favorite venue to pay $5 for a crap room to do the deed. I probably should have asked her if her toothbrush was there in this room. Next time, I will ask that question. She expertly maneuvered herself out of the situation but we spoke again before I left.
Still, there were many, many girls in there and some quite hot. The male side of the equation seemed to be a few locals, younger looking ex-pats who appeared pretty experienced with his place, and then the usual assortment of backpacker types.
Looking forward to a return tonight once I get my hotel situation resolved.

Can anyone vouch that that?
Pricing policy of Khmer (Cambodian) prostitutes is quite clear. Prices are basically determined by the nationality of the customer. Minimal, basic service cost. Twenty dollars for a date. There is a lot of countries, and Cambodia is not an exception, where it is possible to negotiate with the girl and try to go with her for less money, but it is considered as a mauvais ton, and to get paid less than twenty mean now to lose the face and respect. Usually, twenty dollars price is only for Khmer people and the foreigners, long time living in Cambodia. It has been said that local men can sometimes get it much cheaper (for example less than $5).
Fee for travelers is a little bit different. For the barangs. The white tourists - 20 - 30 dollars to pay, the Chinese and Japanese are even more expensive. Up to $50.
Finally, the highest fee is established for black skin tourists. A hundred dollars and not a cent less. This is due to the fact that for some reason them causes Khmer woman absolutely sincere, undisguised disgust. To go with a black man for less than a hundred dollars and all the girlfriends will be laughing! Incidentally, is blaming Khmer prostitutes for racist behavior.

Posts: 180A week in Phnom Penh with the Angry Birds
Hi all.
Just a few notes on my recent week in PP. Been a few times before and so know the lay of the land a bit. I must say that in contrast to other places in Asia, it is definitely worth putting in a bit of time to build rapport with some girls. Of course there is LE Cyrcee for those times when you can't wait but some of the very attractive girls in bars do require a bit of coaxing.
The best times I had were at the Angry Bird Bar on Street 130. Giant sign you can't miss after the first intersection down from the river. Really liked the bar and atmosphere there and the girls were great and did not bug you for drinks. The owner William and his wife keep things running well and are great hosts and the attitude of the girls is outstanding. A few absolute stunners amongst the Angry Bird girls and plenty of others ranging from experienced girls up for anything down to shy girls who are very enthusiastic once you crack them open! Music not too loud and a good mix of visitors and local expats. Def my number one bar experience in PP! Plus really clean toilets. A plus in PP!
Also did the rounds of a few others. Loco in the same street was Ok but felt a bit exclusive for the local ex pats, Dream bar on 136 was fun; picked up some girls at Soraya Mall easily at about 11 pm and also found some eager girls at Pontoon. Prices are always argued here but most girls were happy with $40-50 for a long night and next day. Most cleaned my room as well which I am always happy with. !
Like I say PP is one place that is worth building a bit of a pattern by going to a bar several times and maybe just buying your target 1 drink over a couple of nights and reap the GFE a night or so later.

Good to know. I am arriving later tonight so for one evening it does not matter. However, for the rest of my stay in PP, I will have to look elsewhere.
Do you have any recommendations in this price range with a pool? I am paying $50 per night and prefer to stay under or at this level.
