I'm going on my third month back and I have nothing new to report. The bars are mostly just lady drink places anymore. I don't mind buying lady drinks if the girl is accommodating, but I'm certainly not going to waste my time and money to watch a girl drink. It's also true, but as it's been said, the girls start off asking over the top prices for short time. It gets frustrating! I'm thinking about moving to Thailand for a couple months just to have some fun because Cambodia is losing its thrill real fast.

Anyway, I'm headed down to street 172 right now and spend the afternoon in that area. I'll start off with a Khmer massage at my favorite massage place, Aurora (it's not really spelled that way) and then see what's up. I saw advertised on a message board about a new freelancer bar and hotel that's kind of across the street and I'll see what's up there. I check this site between stops daily. The name of the bar is floozies and apparently the girls aren't going to show up until around 7:00. I told the lady that I spoke to you that if I were going to wait until 7:00 I will go down to 136.

Just curious. Did you get to Floozies and if so, what can you report, what were your impressions??

Sorry mate, there is no pissing contest here. Just 2 guys with a different opinion about a pizza place that may or may not be due to a difference in time and most likely a case of a misread question or misunderstanding of intent. No big deal. I specifically asked you what's gotten better since before Covid, before SE Asia was shut down, not since Covid. It was a straightforward honest question. I am sorry you took it the wrong way. But maybe your harsh response to me is the answer: things have not gotten better since I was last in SE Asia in June 2019, it has gotten worse. Thank you for your reply.

IMHO. I hope their pizzas have gotten better since covid, but I doubt it. Has anything gotten better in LOS since covid?

Everything has gotten better everywhere since covid. Haven't eaten the pizza in a month, but to me it's the same as it's always been, which is excellent. The best is when you get there at closing time and there's still some of their rustic potato pizzas left and you can grab a few slices to take home.

One of my all-time favs! Grab a slice or two and go. Panetti at Emsphere (by Peppina) is also great, and they even have a vegan pizza!

I don't think its so distastefull at all to ask for prices that are not to different from what is a reasonable price in that country. Does not have to be exactly what the local guys pay but we can not go in to an amount of money that is DOUBLE or more than what the local guys pay. Thats overpricing tourists. And it does not really seem to be a model that is working good for anyone. We are not talking about "five bucks" as you write. We are talking about DOUBLE the money, ok?

Indian guys make the same money as people in Thailand, if they are to travel to Thailand then why should they pay so much more?

When on this webpage we see ads for what it cost in Europe. What is the point for many guys to pay expensive flights and long vacations to then pay almost the same? It makes no sense. And it does not really work out well for anyone in the end.

But if you have a ton of money and want to spend big, then go ahead. To me it does not matter. I don't feel more prestigous just because I pay a girl in PP 50 dollars when she would go with a local for 20 dollars. And paying 50 dollars does nto break my bankaccount.

Charging tourists more for not just girls but many other things is not unusual in many countries unfortunately. I recall in a brothel in Singapore the papasan even told me that they charge less for Singapore locals (he didn't give any reasons why). In Latin America, there is the so called 'gringo price' that tourists pay. Not fair but that's the way it's done at many foreign places and they see us tourists still paying premium so they will continue to charge us more.
