Hi folks,
I'd appreciate if someone could enlighten me.
I have been in Thailand more times than I can count and been in Phom Penh once for a week last July. I know Sharky's and Martini's plus a few other places but wondered if someone could update me where the action now is.
I have a bit mixed feelings about Martini's-cool at times, but on other days the Mama-San is trying to set you up with some butt-ugly Chick and one seem unable to get rid of them.
I'll be back in PNH mid of November. Does anyone know what's recently going on? And whether the Bougainvilliers Hotel is girl-friedly? Stayed the last time at the River-Star hotel (NOT to be confused with the Riverside Hotel). OK, but a bit too much low-end. I found Shanghai Bar to be mainly a scam. Girls pushy and expensive, is it worth to give 63rd and 104th Street a try?
Some "local" tip, maybe?

Less than a month now till I get to PP. Can hardly wait now. How is the wireless internet in Flamingo these days? Is it working and would it support a voice conversation on Skype? I have not decided yet if I should bring my laptop or not.
I hope to make some nice (and some dirty) pictures when in PP for later view and show.
Not sure if it is smart to upload them directly in to own laptop after reading the forum.

Posts: 5Where are the Toul Kork girls?
I think the information in my post already appears in this forum, but I write shortly anyway.
I went to Svay Pak in the afternoon a couple of weeks ago. No signs of brothels on the outside, but I was immediately invited into one of the houses on a sidestreet. After some negotiations I overpaid for a nice vietnamese girl. Definitely legal age. However, I can't really see the reason for going all the way to Svay Pak. Since they bring you a few girls into a normal house choice is not very varied. When you have gone all the way there you also think you should "get to it" even though price is high. So all in all I don't think I will go back. Whether it is dangerous, I don't know. I don't think an NGO could take the picture of a Westerner and publish it on the internet only because he has visited SVay Pak. But I could be wrong about this.
By the way. Does anyone know good places on 63rd st. Or Toul Kork. By good places I mean having stunning 19-20 y. O. Vietnamese girls. I have visited 63rd st. And Toul Kork in the daytime without finding any places of interest. F. Ex I didn't see anything obvious around TK market or 70th st.

Posts: 399A few places in PP to consider:
Sakura hotel MP, Navy Club MP and New World MP?
When I stayed at Flamingos I went to a MP that was close to Walkabout, 2nd floor around the corner. Walkabout has a few rare hotties.
There are numerous MPs that cater to the mid level Chinese in PP. I went to one just off Morivan (Sp suxs) @ "fuck can't remember the cross Street number, it was a major intersection, think it was road to Russian market or Mao Road.
Early evening I cruised up and down the river front road up to the Japanese Bridge. Saw a few very sharp cuties heading to the casino boat. I also saw MPs to $1.25 US in the industrial port area.
Snooky still has good reputation
Koi Kong got some bad reports a week ago. Chicken farm, 1st house on the R has a new owner who's got the girls ripping off customers.

Posts: 2289Made it in the other day, and have been mostly recovering from the long flight so far. PNH is not appealing at the moment, so will probably head to the beach in the next couple of days.
I'm heading off to Le Cyrcee in a few minutes.

The bottom line is this about SR. You should really be going there to visit the Angkor temple sites and along the way as a side adventure only--seeking gals. 1) gals and mongering activity is not as many as in PP 2) everything including prices for mongering more expensive. Hope this helps.

Sihanookville is not Pattaya. Very cheap, few tourists to compete with. Mostly brothels you would be visiting instead of bars like in Pattaya. Anyway with 15 days you can go to Siem Reap for a few days and also Sville. They are both no more than 6 hours on the bus from PP.
While in PP I would suggest you pay a driver with a car to take you around to all the places tourists don't go. Now that's an adventure.

You do have to be *very* careful.
There was an Australian guy a few years back who was photographed walking through PP (I think, but it might have been Southern Vietnam) hand in hand with a young boy. One of the international mags picked it up and splayed it across the cover with a caption to the effect that paedophilia was running rife in Cambodia (true from what I have seen - read on) and the story was about how open and notorious it was, look at what their photographer saw just outside his hotel walking along the street.
Suffice to say, this guy's life suddenly turned into a particularly vile form of syphilitic shit. It turns out the poor bastard was just there sorting out the final batch of papers for his son (the kid in the picture) that he and his wife had adopted from Cambo a couple of years previously. This sort of stuff can easily be explained away to friends and family, but what about those who just happen to recognize you from the photo on the street.
In an unrelated incident a few years ago in the UK, a guy got his office torched and the living hell kicked out of him by a bunch knob-ends, he might have even been killed - his crime, he had a sign outside saying 'Paediatrist'! Surely the fact that he was advertising what he was should've given them a bit of a clue that maybe they'd misunderstood.
My point is, when it comes to this stuff, there is no benefit of the doubt, there is no fair trial, you are guilty until proven innocent, and, even then the stigma could remain. I actually feel a bit sorry for the guys to be honest, they are sick bastards in need of psychiatric help more than vilification. Part of the point of having a society of laws is to prevent this mob mentality of vengeance. While there are plenty of other criminals that are more deserving of hospital than prison, paedophiles are the only ones I can think of where we all seem to secretly approve of the fact that they'll have the everloving shit kicked out of them, or worse, while incarcerated. We don't want to help these guys with what I imagine must be a pretty fucking debilitating sickness (I am guessing of course, I don't know any), we simply want them to suffer. Furthermore, I would guess that some of these guys are as horrified by what they do as the rest of us are - they simply have a screw loose that causes them to be attracted to the wrong people, and, they probably know it. The guilt of a catholic wanking multiplied by a few million.
OK - please don't take all this as a pro-paedophilia rant. I am disgusted by the fate of the victims of these guys, I just think as a society we need to deal with everyone with compassion - both victims and criminals, irrespective of our personal disgust. Without compassion we'd descend into a society of vengeance - there's a reason we don't let victim's family members sit on the juries of the accused.
Anyway, I digress... I am reminded of a time when, upon reflection, I could have landed myself in very hot water had someone viewed it wrong. I was with my girlfriend at the time and we were quite drunk walking through PP somewhere. This little girl came up to me, trying to sell me something and she really was as cute as a button. I wanted to get her something rather than money that her 'handler' wouldn't be able to take from her, so, said come with me and walked her to a stand that sold icecreams about 20m away (leaving the girlfriend sitting at a table - not wise!). So, just me and this little girl, me buying her an icecream.... take a polaroid of me just then and it doesn't look good at all now does it?
A few seconds later, some moto guy came up to me and asked me if I liked her and how much would I pay? It was only then that how the situation I'd placed myself in looked became clear to me. I took his registration number and gave it to a friend who knows some NGO people, but, to this day, I really wish I'd clocked him.
What was that I was preaching about tolerance above? Still a man who claims not to be the least bit hypocritical is either a saint or a liar.

Posts: 2289Top 10 mongering opportunities in Cambodia?
I went to PNH last year for 6 days, and hit Sophies, Martini's, Paris Hotel and Cyree, and had moderate to good success at these places. This time, I'll be in town for 15 days, and want to experience more interesting places. I don't mind the cot on the floor, if the ladies are nice looking. I'm thinking about going to the beach, but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort, lady wise. If it's a carbon copy of Pattaya, I'd probably skip it.
I'll be arriving in about a week, so any "must not miss" places, would certainly be appreciated.
