Anyway. One place I did not dislike in PP (chickenfarms, mostly vietnamese, some very beautiful ones) is called toul kok. It is on the street north of the (atleast spoken like Bangkok) lake. Just vis a vis the city guest house. The good places are 4 to 6 farms in a sidestreet just after some karaoke places. Not to oversee at night.

The normal price is 3 to 5 dollars. There is one place I only got down to 15 dollars for 40 minutes with 2 girls. But the girls and the blowjobs were worth it to me.

I have added some more details to the excellent map (which I had great use of) by That Asshole 03-18-06. I much prefer walking to taking a moto or a tuktuk, so that map came in handy.

This map is of course not 100% accurate: I have simpified the street grid by making all streets in right angle to each other (it was just much easier to draw it that way) but I don’t think you will notice the difference when you walk .

If you find any error (maybe Heart of Darkness is in the wrong block) please tell me and I’ll correct.

Although the simplified drawing of the map not a bad idea, I still think its much better to pick up the free canby PP city map (at any hotel or bar). The scale is exact and you will know exactly how far everything is. The free map covers the whole city and list most of the important places you need. It also folds very nicely to fit in your back pocket. I only used that map (made little marks of places not listed) when I was in PP and never had any trouble as the canby map is 99% accurate (at time of printing of course).

Unless you have a suspicious or fake passport, Cambo visa at PP airport is a breeze. Just hand them your passport and $20 and passport size photo and you are good to go. Takes about 10-15min (depending on how many people in front of you). Best to bring your own photo as it takes alot longer and about $10 more for them to take your mug shot.

Not sure what you meant by "having proof of sufficient funds"? as I assume you are not planning to retire there. No need to show any proof of money. Only funds I know of is to have the $20 for the visa and some money to get out of airport to your hotel.

By all the descriptions here, I know that I will NOT be visiting Sophie's. It all sounds too insane & maddening for me to comprehend right now. !

Don't write Sophies off your list before you even arrive there. I may not have had the best time while I visited (maybe an off day for them), but in general its not a bad place to go as they will give you an honest bang for your buck--no cheaters or thieves here so good place to relax and enjoy.
