Hmm. $25 is very low. Some of the girls who are desperate might take it. If you don't know the girls, there is no way any of the top 3 or 4 girls will take that offer. Not sure about $30, especially for a new customer.

I believe many girls still quote $40. But will accept $35. Even Ap-pul, the top producer. I'm not sure how low you can negotiate for with the uglyish girls.

The girls prefer the Japanese. They say they come in, and give them $60, $80 or even more..

Usd $25 for ST is the price most wls in Phnom Penh riverside and in most other parts of Cambodia will accept (excluding those high class night clubs and ktvs such as darling darling in Nagaworld or casa). In what PHNOM, you can get ST at only usd10 to usd15.

In Cambodia, please be street smart. In bargaining, one must also know how to pretend as though you are not interested, so one must project the right body language as to tell them "take it or leave it".

I was in PP a few days ago for a 10 days trip. That time I .......(for example bar one three six on street 130, each time I went there, girls were only interested in Chinese guys).

I barfined girls from Tiger (BF 12 dollars, girl 40 dollars Short time), Intoxica (BF 10, girl 50ST), Xanadu (BF 10,50ST), and a former girl from Candy that stopped working there but I managed to meet her one time. You've got to add Ladydrinks to these prices (3.75 dollars to 4 dollars per drink for the girls).

I could still occasionally see a few stunners but they're not always staying at the same place and it seems that they're barfined ..... nice.

I would not pay more then usd30 for ST irregardless whichever girl it may be. In Cambodia, we MUST bargain, that's their culture.

On average, for LT I will pay only usd60 or maximum usd70. In Cambodia, whether we buy fruits, clothing etc etc. Everything must bargain.

Anyway, next Wednesday 5th December I will fly to Phnom Penh again, and of course I will spent some time in Sihanoukville too. In Sihanoukville, I won't pay more then usd50 for LT.

Is this $12 USD barfine common at many bars?
All the other bars that i've been to were charging 10$ except 1 girl in Candy that charged me 15$ in my previous trip (but i think she played me).
Tiger , Route 136 and another bar (maybe Corner 136 ? ) have the same boss so i guess that these 3 bars charge the 12 $ fee barfine.


Helicopter is one of the more fun bars on 136. I'm guessing the girl would have stayed with you if you asked her if she wanted a drink. Same for the others in front. Just drag them in as you walk in the bar.

She didn't give me the opportunity to ask her anything except her name.

As I entered she came with me, while I sat near the bar I asked her name, asked a beer for me and wanted to talk with her but she was already gone. I didn't give her any bad signal but she decided to not stay with me, that's why I didn't want to call her to come again.

As for the others they clearly saw that I was the only customer inside and yet preferred to stay altogether outside instead of trying to come have a talk with me. It was a complete different atmosphere that most bars in PP.

What's the point of paying a drink for a working girl who doesn't want to talk with you in the first place?

The funny thing is that when I left, a tuktuk stopped just in front of that bar, 3 or 4 westerners came down and were looking for a place to settle, and these same girls were screaming like crazy to have these guys enter the bar.

As I said I didn't put a foot again in that place, they just lost a potential good customer because they were too lazy to do their job.

I prefer Grab (Grab bought out Uber in Cambodia). It doesn't seem PassApp accepts credit cards. Grab can accept both cash and credit cards. Credit cards are so much convenient. Plus it seems you have more protection than the local PassApp.

I was told Pass might be slightly less expensive. I never used Pass, but prices seem similar. Grab was 3000 Riel from Lux to Crycee for a ricksaw. 26900 Riel from Lux to airport for Camry. Great prices, even less than the old local Cambodian prices. I've seen less airport taxis and tuk-tuks around. Grab is here to stay.

Wow! 26900 from the Lux to the airport? That's half of what the hotel charges! Finding a rickshaw (cyclo) seems a bit harder than yesteryear. I'll be heading over in about 6 months and I'm sure I'll be using Grab a LOT!

Once I entered a bar (Helicopter) because I saw 3 or 4 doable girls in front, one of them came in with me, and left to go back and sit with her friends within 10 seconds once I ordered a drink. I think I stayed there for 20 minutes alone and none of them would even come to me, didn't put a foot again in that place.

Thanks for the suggestion, the post that you quoted was from my first trip of this year in July, I didn't have a sim card at that time but I noticed that most people were using that app to get tuktuks. When I came back in October I bought a sim card and used that app also.

It was also a good way to order a car to bring me back to airport as it cost me around 8 dollars for a trip in a very nice car while the previous time I had to order a taxi for 15 dollars.

At first I thought it would be great because you can go back home by walk instead of taking these f*cking tuktuks but later I realized that everybody on the street knows exactly what you do, when you go out, when you come back, who you bring back. These girls have eyes everywhere, and if you like to be discreet, it is not the place to go. I took only one girl back there for a few days but everytime all eyes were on us. The management of this place is the same than the one of the Vacation boutique hotel on street 136. I would go back there only if I have a regular girl and I don't plan to change regularly, because too many eyes are spying on us in this part of the city.

I was in PP a few days ago for a 10 days trip. That time I tried a new hotel for my first night and as I felt great there I ended up extended my trip there everyday for the same price than I paid the first day. It is the Molyan hotel, located near Naga casino (3 minute by tuktuk from street 136, or 20 minutes walk if you like to walk), I tried that one because it had great reviews on booking.com. The entrance is a bit hard to find as it is located in a small alley between Sothearos boulevard and street 294. It's just a big tower with a skybar on top (I didn't try it), no swimming pool, no spas or any other facilities. The room was big, very clean, every furniture was new, big fridge, a small kitchen, it was like a small apartment. The very good points were the price (29 dollars), located outside of the touristic area, quiet, clean, doors are opened with real keys and not magnetized ones and girl friendly. One thing that I don't like is when the clerk at the reception asks for the girl's ID, here they don't do that so you've got to be careful of the people you bring back to your room and secure all your belongings before going out.

I've only tried a few bars on street 130 and street 136 as in the other streets they were not very inviting. I had the feeling that there were only few customers (mostly expats), and I saw the same trend as is discussed in the Bangkok thread with girls preferring Chinese and Japanese customers over Westerners with some bars even specializing on it (for example bar one three six on street 130, each time I went there, girls were only interested in Chinese guys).

I've also been rejected by some girls, one small girl with a killer body after paying her a drink at the butterfly bar in front of corner 136 and for the others I checked with them before buying any drink. So even on low season the odd girl that mostly want to works for LD are still there.

Visited Phnom Penh for the first time and stayed for 4 days. I returned early to Thailand on the 5th day. I stayed at the Point Boutique Hotel, it's Very girl friendly, as they didn't card my female guests. The room was spacious, but with a small balcony. However the shower was big enough for 3 and the bed was super comfortable. Point Boutique is near the river front and walking distance to bars on 130 and 136st.

I found hotties at the Corner 136 bar, Intoxica bar and 104 Bar. The ladies at 104 bar were dressed to Kill! Perhaps due to low season, I found myself the lone male in the bars. I'd get mobbed by them and got aggressively pushed to buy many lady drinks. I had some Great memorable times at The Corner 136 bar. Pulled ladies from those 3 bars and each gave outstanding BBBJ's.

Food wise, I Recommend the Cadillac Bar and Grill and especially the Riverhouse restaurant. I also recommend the Happy Herb Pizza and the Happy Milkshake at Special Happy Pizza. (There are four Happy pizza places next door to each other.) I had to try it, can't get that topping back home. LOL I enjoyed Phnom Penh and will return and spend more time. There were many places I did not visit.
