Listen, you can pay whatever you want. The fact is I can and do go to Cyrcee regularly, take any of the girls I want to a nearby hotel, then give them $25 when I leave. No questions asked and no problems. Period, end of story.

Another fact is that hotels in Phnom Penh by and large don't cater to white Western sex tourists and many specifically and explicitly ban them from their places of business.

They moved the bar to Street 136, but not too far. There is no upstairs action. The price is still $25 if you know the price. If you don't know the price, they will quote you whatever they think they can get out of you. I never give more than $25 to a Cyrcee girl. In fact, I never mention it. Just give it to them after the fact.

Hmm. $25 is very low. Some of the girls who are desperate might take it. If you don't know the girls, there is no way any of the top 3 or 4 girls will take that offer. Not sure about $30, especially for a new customer.

I believe many girls still quote $40. But will accept $35. Even Ap-pul, the top producer. I'm not sure how low you can negotiate for with the uglyish girls.

The girls prefer the Japanese. They say they come in, and give them $60, $80 or even more.

I thought even the 5 star hotels were guest friendly. But, just read about it. Never spent the extra money for the 5 star. But for anyone interested in 5-star hotels, Cambodia is affordable.

That is a bargain at Rose Bar. Normally they do not come down to under 60 $. But again, 10 $ for 2 drinks? I don't like Rose Bar, very pushing. 104 bar is more relaxed to me, same as Oskar. It is already almost a year ago I was there but now and the old days you just told the girls to get upstairs and for sure no one else was going upstairs within the next hour. No idea what the quality of the Bunny's bar is nowadays but that was always fun on the couches in the back of the bar. I never experience that much from a first visit, but when returning the night after as a returning customer it is a different world.

I do two Rose Bar girls regularly for $30 each. No bar fine. YMMV.

Mate there are definitely Viet girls in Golden Vine I have known the owner there for 18 years and some of the girls there are good friends that have been there for about 8 years and more. Also quite a few Viet Karaoke places on 130 and 136

No need to reply to this guy. He posts on dozens of cities as an expert but is very often wrong as is the case here. Bars like City and Golden Vine are entirely Vietnamese or Khmer Krom. You know it and I know it, so why bother with his posts?

Most hotels are guest friendly. All hotels that are guest friendly allow multiple guests without additional charge. As far as I know. If any hotel tries to be like Pattaya, we should boycott them.

I hate Pattaya's guest policy. Most hotels are guest friendly, but after the first guest, many hotels will charge you for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th girl. Bad if you like 3 somes, 4 somes, and 5 somes.

Phnom Penh isn't Pattaya. Most visitors are not sex tourists. The hotels don't care about sex tourists and they're not going to feel any sting from a boycott.

Many hotels are guest friendly. Probably most of the 3 star and below places, but none of the backpacker places. Joiner fees aren't too common.

There are many hotels that aren't girl friendly at all, meaning they don't let you bring a girl to your room even if you do offer to spend extra money. They cater to hip tourists from the west and make a big deal about "fighting sex tourism" with signs posted in their hotels. There are too many examples to list. Some people with legitimate girlfriends or even wives (have run into problems in these ideological warzones posing as hotels.

I found some very cheap hotels in Sangkat Chrouy Changva and Sangkat Tonle Basak. Tuk tuks are only a couple bucks from these areas to city center. Would it be unwise to stay in these areas?

Chrouy Changva is the peninsula you see from the Riverside. The only access is across the Japanese bridge, which is well north of the main part of the city. A tuk tuk might be a couple of bucks but you could easily spend 45 minutes to an hour one way depending on traffic just to get to the bars. You're talking 7 kilometers from there to Golden Sorya. The area is being developed now (read: lots of high rises) but it's historically been infamous among locals as a place where Muslim Chams and criminals dwell.

I agree with you. Cyrcee is a safe bet but I notice that prices have gone up since last Christmas. I use to pay just $25, though, plus bar fine for a take out to my hotel. Add two drinks to that. Some girls are indeed very pretty and friendly.

I don't supposed they have gone back to offering services upstairs, the way they used to way back in the day. I only went upstairs in the bar maybe twice.

I'm reminded of the guys who say the price at the fishbowl on 252 is $10 or even $12 for the house plus $50 or $100. In fact the price is nothing like that at all, but if you want to pay that much you can. If you go in asking what the price is they might even come up with something high like that, or higher. They have no pity on the uninformed, especially white foreigners.

Just 3 days ago I laughed at a girl who told me the ladies in her bar (Island) got $100 for sex. She quickly got the hint and replied "$100, or $80, or $60, depending on the girl. " A day later I did her in my room at noon for $30.

Cambodia and Vietnam aren't Thailand or the Philippines. The market is based on negotiation.

She might have been a "dancer". I do recall a few girls who would drop in who were wearing matching outfits. They looked like they were not part of the regular crew- and did dance like they were "ringers". And yes, she could have been pocketing the extra 5 bucks. LOL Also, maybe there was a "coyote" premium attached. Ha ha ha.

There are short time hotels all over Phnom Penh and indeed the country. Usually they are labeled as Guest House. You just tell them you want a room for 2 hours. No need to show ID or anything. Price is $5 - $10 depending on the place. Well known examples would be Tin Tin on Street 51 or Flamingos on Street 172.

By the way Cyrcee moved from it's old location to a new place on Street 136. Still near the Central Market but not on the same street it was before, plus the hotel "across the street" from the old location was demolished anyway.

Hotels are so cheap near the bars in PP that you can just rent one for the night and use it for ST. However, if you must there is one right beside Le Cyrcee and you can treat Le Cyrcee as an incall.
