Can I join your party too? I am also from Taiwan (moved to the US when I was 13 and spent 5 years in Tokyo and 4 in Beijing/Shanghai). I know a couple good sauna and nightclub. I always have problems getting enought guys to go out to a nightclub with me after moving to Beijing. I will be in town around the 1st of next month.

I am hoping to pay a visit to the NC at Block 8 but so far I have no luck of finding the contact for a mama san there. I guess I will just have to drop in and meet someone. I did that at PolyPlazza years ago and the mama san Hao Ying became a close friend. I see some really hot chics outside the Block 8 NC every time I pass by. It is not cheap but may be worth the $.

Their principal point of evaluation seems to be the quality of the buffet food. Judging from what the reviews say about the service options (live performances, fancy buffet dinner, etc.), and the fact that these reviewers who are definitely not getting FS say it is unusually expensive, it seems that an 800 yuan tab would not include FS. Just my subjective take. I have often passed by the first one, it's very huge and flashy, clearly targeting a broad public clientele.

However saying that what you are saying is also VERY true. Any posting which involves someone from china doing immoral activities probably gets the attention of the authorities. I don't know what we can do about this - i tend to restrict all my postings to laowai/laowai action these days. (I will provide other information to those who PM me)

If they would want to turn off reporting, they could do so at the flick of a switch. It's called the Chinese Firewall. Speaking of the West side, I've been living in the university area for over a year now, and I keep my eye out for BBS when I'm stuck in traffic jams, etc. I am fairly certain I saw one to the east of Suzhou bridge on the south side of the 3rd ring, before you get to the Sanyi miao bus stop on the way to Sitong bridge (Friendship Hotel). I moved to the Qinghua area since then, so I haven't had an opportunity to check it out.

As for up here, I heard indirectly (via a student project involving a survey on student sexuality) that some Beida and Qinghua students get off at BBS in the area. I'm thinking that is the rather sketchy stretch north of Qinghua's West gate, mostly little shops and restaurants. It's on Zhongguancun bei dajie (along the east side of the Old Summer Palace/Yuanmingyuan). I was buying a bike at the Giant shop on the west side of the first walkbridge north of the Qinghua gate, and as i was testing the bike I saw a likely BBS about 150m south of the bridge.

What I mean by a likely BBS is a place with a barber pole but with very little equipment and interior decoration inside, and 4-5 girls about 20 y.o. sitting just inside the entrance. Hope i'm not mistaken ! :P

When I travel to Beijing, I usually stayed in Shangri-La (the one in the West Side). I look like a Chinese, and able to speak some very limited Mandrian. However, I was not able to catch any street action around the hotel and I was not able to find any Sauna/Massage Place.

So, Shangri-La is pretty bad in terms of mongering but it is a nice hotel as Xiber said.

If anyone has good suggestion around Shangri-La, please do give us a pointer.

Having stayed in beijing for the last 10 years I have seen several party congress's and the police always make a special effort to clean up the town before hand. They do the same during other international events as well.

Passion Bar or Diamond Age will have what you want, but it will not be cheap. Otherwise you need to try KTV's - there are lots of them around - but also not cheap.. However the last 2 weeks was the people party congress - so you will find it rather difficult to get any form of quality right now - unless you have your own regular service providers. I would expect things will back to normal next week.

I went to Diamond Age in August (a Sunday night) at 12:30AM and it was closed (then I went to Passion Bar and wrote my report of one of the infamous 12 "regulars"), then the next day some other guy also posted on the forum stating Diamond Age is closed.

Passion Bar (re-opened one) is not as good as the Old one. There is also a post in the forum stating there are only 12 regulars in the Passion Bar, and none of them is worth the price tag. From my limited experience of the "new" Passion Bar in August, I also agree with that bro. That bro also wrote they kept all the better girls in the Passion KTV to get you to pay high price KTV rooms (in addition to high price girls).

I also went to some KTVs in early Sep, trying to find my taste of stunners, but unfortunately it's also not easy to find one from the higher price KTV girls. The only one I was satisfied with both her look and her body, and I want to do her again, I paid 2500RMB over night. She's just graduated from a university (北師大), major in Management Information System, and preparing to go to Singapore for master degree study next spring.
