I agree 100%. Several months ago, before Maggie's got shut down, I grew tired of them always padding my bar bill with extra drinks. In addition, I really did not like all of the "tourists" who came to Maggie's to watch the "Mongolian girls and German businessman" as has been reported in too many tourist books and websites. I started toying with the idea of either finding an alternative location (as I posted on this board), or even opening my own bar. When Maggie's got shut down I decided it would be best to wait until after the Olympics before I did anything.

For a bar to stay open it has to at least make enough money to break even, requiring a lot of customers. This draws attention. The last thing I want is the attention of the authorities, so I decided to shift the focus from a bar open to the public to a private club. The goal would be not to make any money, but just cover expenses by charging a membership fee.

The venue would be a Lounge/Bar area with a pool table where people can sit, relax, and chat. Something similar to Maggie’s when they were undergoing their renovation, or the layout of Bar One. The bar would serve drinks and snacks, but at breakeven prices. A minimum of 2 discreet hotel style bedrooms will be adjecent to the club house, each with it's own adjoining bathroom. These rooms would be available by the day or by the hour. The club would employ a manager to oversee operations, and some type of housekeeping staff to keep the lounge area and bedrooms clean. Due to the nature of our hobby I would plan for the staff to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Since common labor costs are so low in China this should not be a problem. We could consider hiring "KTV" style girls as wait staff to just hang out and chat, with the understanding that they would provide services on-site.

The club would be open to members only, and would involve an initial fee, as well as monthly dues. Membership would be by referral only, with a target of individuals wanting to appreciate the finer things – not those looking for rock bottom prices. It will be open to all nationalities. Detailed rules would be established that all members must agree to in order to maintain a pleasant atmosphere.

We might want to hire some type of bouncer to man the door and help out the staff should some type of dispute arise. We would of course allow pre-approved female guests to visit our club as they like. This could include girls from Mongolia, Russia, or Chinese. At a minimum they would need to be vouched for by a member of the club.

I am putting together a budget/business plan and see if I can get enough interest to make a go of it. I am currently looking for a venue somewhere outside the 5th ring road. While a location outside the city center would be less convenient, it would also be less conspicuous. The rent would also be cheaper. I have someone selected who has managed a bar in the past and is willing to function as manager. Nothing is set in stone, but I thought it would be an interesting exercise to at least run the numbers. The possibilities are endless.

I apologize to all of those who truly do not care about this idea, and I will take this discussion off this site after this one last post. For it to work I will probably need around 10 regular members. I would of course make provisions for those who would like to utilize the facility but do not live in Beijing. I have about 20 numbers for mongolian girls in my phone. Once a week I send out a blanket text message to see who is in Beijing. Some folks reported sauna at Tian Lun Dynasty Hotel a while ago. I had been there in the beginning of this year. (Sorry for the late report... I have recently reviewing some of my tourism pics and remembered my experience in Tian Lun)

Tian Lun Dynasty Hotel ( 天伦王朝饭店 ) is near Grand Hyatt. The basement has a KTV (night-club) and a sauna. I went to the sauna, and I asked the guy in the counter about massage. He quoted me 800RMB massage with VIP room and 1600RMB for FS. (I was talking to him in English, and his English is pretty bad. He was afraid that I did not understand him.. He even wrote down "Sex 1600" on a piece of paper.)

I picked the 1600RMB for FS... The VIP room is well-equipped (with two small bed, shower, sauna-room, bathroom) but not as clean as I would like.. (e.g., seeing some hair on the bath tub....) He brought 3 girls to me.. I chose the young one (21 years old) and with 7-face, 4-body (A-cup..). We went to the bath together, and she was trying to perform BBBJ while we were both soaking inside the bath.. I asked her not to since I like covered BJ/FS.

After the bath, we moved to bed (small one) and I asked her to perform Fire&Ice (using my limited Chinese). She told me she does not know. (!!! found out that I am her 2nd paid customer according to her) I asked her to just CBJ - no skill at all.. Then, I started fucking her pretty hard, but she was faking and like a dead fish. I can remember a few times that I arranged to hook-up via PM and set the time aside. The guys never showed up or even called.

My theory is that a newbie is afraid that he will arrive in China and not be able to get laid. If he finds his way, he just blows you off. People can be selfish like that.

At this point, like you, I only share specifics with the senior members that I know well. This way, I can be assured that the providers will be OK and the environment will remain the same regarding pricing.

You know Beijing better than I do, but I doubt the powers that be would let something like this be done by laowais.

I do know a few local and HK guys in Guangdong that have these sort of party pads set-up, but they have made substantial manufacturing investments in the small towns that they are located. LE just close their eyes for the benefit of the community. In fact, you often see LE and other government boys hanging out there, as well.

IMHO, Beijing is a different story and foreigners are just too high profile. If there is any trouble, it cannot just be swept under the rug. It becomes an international incident.

I would just keep it small, shared among a few guys, and leave it at that. For more advise, ask the Shanghai gang. I remember they did this in Shanghai for awhile.

Maybe we should go the other end of the spectrum - a true party pad with a large living area and a couple of bed rooms. We put in a bar and a pool table where the dining room table should be. Monthly membership gets you access to the "lounge" and the privilege to reserve one of the bedrooms. We form a shell company creating a “private club” that can issue fa piao so when brothers from out of town visit they can stay in the apartment and then turn in the expenses for reimbursement. Make it the first ISG "bed and breakfast". Call it the “International Social Gentlemen’s Club”. By utilizing a "mix use" building we can explain why people are always coming and going. Or we can find a location on the outskirts of town away from the prying eyes of the locals. I am certain that such establishments exist for our Chinese brothers, so why not create one for ourselves? A safe place for us to meet and bring our lady friends. To be honest, I have been thinking of establishing some type of “club house” like this for some time. The question is – would you pay a membership fee of 500 to 1000 RMB per month to have access to such a place? I would set it up to just break even, so the monthly “dues” would depend on the number of members. We can take this discussion off the Beijing board, but does anyone think such an establishment would fly in Beijing?

I am frequent visitor to SH saunas and was a frequent visitor to M's. I've had good/great and bad experiences both in SH saunas and with M's Mongolians.

IMHO most of it depends on the individual girl and whether you can develop good vibrations her.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many guys consider visits to Shanghai (and other cities) saunas are such good value.

To me they are WAY OVERPRICED and the quality of experience is WAY INFERIOR to that which I can enjoy with the Mongolian 'sisters' in Beijing.

I have been to Maggie and Shanghai hotel sauna this year , there are no middle man at maggie it should be cheaper and better vaule than in Shangahai sauna the girl there only get half of the 700 rmb .

If you go to the sauna in southern china like shenzhen and Zhu hai where you can get service for 300 rmb 2 shots and 90 min but no mongolian there.

Well, do you have a choice? Anyway, welcome to Beijing. The scene is really different from Bangkok (its not legal here) and even differs from scene than Southern China. And more expensive. and some other dirt cheap, if you know where to find.

The winter here isn't that bad (not saying I like it), it is usualy around minus 10-15 C, 2007 was warm, they say 2008 will be really cold. Bearable, not alot of snow, and very dry.

As for FWB or freebies, I would say China is the easiest place to get ONS, to me at least, knowing the local language helps, and being a caucasian helps as well. Refer to Eaglestar's post at the photo galery if you want more detail.

P4P is not legal in thailand either but they look the other way and it is out in the open as in bejing is mostly sauna and SW , the bar area like salitun cater to foreigner and freelance is avalible but bejing is more expensive than bangkok like k said southern china is much cheaper like shenzhen and guangzhou area .

For freebie and girl friend girl in china is not as open as thai girl to foriegner ,it is possible but you need to spend alot of time and you need to speak some chinese .
