Posts: 32I travelled to Beijing more often than Shanghai. For living (w/o considering our hobby), I pick Beijing. IMO, Beijing's folks are more friendly and they are more passionate. Beijing's folks are more on to "money". I need to put up my "guard" much higher in Shanghai to avoid people getting advantages from me. Beijing weather is fine for me since I have been living in East-coast Canada for many years. Beijing winter is relatively mild compared to Canada's.
For mongering, Shanghai is definitely much better than Beijing. In Shanghai, saunas have much higher standard than in Beijing in terms of services, girls selections, and fun-level. I am still not able to find a single Soapy massage in Beijing while there are at least several of them in Shanghai (e.g., http://www.touch-net.net/nakada/info.htm) . However, I got more b!tches-level gals in Shanghai than in Beijing. For example, for getting massage gals to hotel room, I often got b!tches in Shanghai and I usually got some friendly gals in Beijing. Again, this is my personal opinion.
I do have a higher scores on getting freebies in Beijing.
If I were you, I would pick Beijing. Unfortunately, I will stuck in a Monger-hell, USA, for a long time due to travel cut-back in my company. I wish I have your problems, Bowerboy!

If really, then go to Shanghai.Beijing is a desert.
And the flowers are thorny.

Unfortunately Beijing today is best avoided - unless of course it cannot be avoided - yes I know some of you poor helpless souls are still trapped in the 'Beijing re-education compound' with little or no chance of salvation.
But do not despair - there is a hope for you guys.
OAH introduced me to Changping a month or so back - am booked and headed back there Jan 18 - any of you guys want to join me for 4 nights of depravity?
All Chinese girls - and nothing like the Mongols - but at RMB200 a pop in your hotel room it cannot be beat price wise.
Send me a pm if interested.

So in the name of scientific research, I interviewed a panel of Northern Sisters in Beijing about their new habits (not the nun type) and nightly migratory movements.
They all agree to the following:
Start at the Pig at around 8 or 9.
Move to Swing at around 10 (considered dangerous due to LE presence)
Possibly Absent or China Doll at 11
End the night upstairs at the Den
Maggies is still being sorely missed. Rumors to the effect that it will re-open the following month have been around since March, and from what we are hearing, it won't change for a while.
They all agree to business being down due to fewer laoweis in town with less cash burning in their pockets. Guess the monetary malaise affects us all.

The weather in Beijing is an issue for me; cold, dry and dusty winters. Shanghai is without question a more cosmopolitan city than Beijing and thus more suitable for expatriates.
IMHO, there is a wider variety of mongering opportunities in Shanghai. The BBS action is more concentrated, plenty of FS saunas at more reasonable prices than Beijing, and its fill of KTV, albeit expensive compared to South China. That said, both places are more expensive for mongering than South China. What is missing in Shanghai is Maggies and Hollywood, however, this seems to be a mute point for the moment.
Just my POV.

Dear All
I have to move to China for my job..if given the choice would i bebeter to go to Shanghai or Beijing? It would seem that Shanghai is better for the hobby...would apreciate anyones thoughts on this.
Currently i am living in Bangkok so I realise that anywhere after here will seem quite on the hobby front!!! Bangkok is a sexual disneyland, life is a pure fantasy here and the thought of leaving fills me with drad and some depression..i think the only place that could equal Bangkok is Jakarta..
Anyway, i really appreciate anyones thoughts on whether Shanghai is a better place to live and monger than Beijing.

Posts: 58One dimensional friends of Maggies
Firstly, a shout out to Taiwan Jack and other forum friend (sorry don’t know your forum name) for a great time at Red Dragon last week.
The absence of forum posts in the last week or so is evidence only that nothing is going on for the one-dimensional supporters of the once great but now defunct Maggies. It does not signify that others are not getting plenty. And for as little time as I spending Beijing, I get plenty without having to live vicariously through forum posts.
From talking with Taiwan Jack, I realise there are many new places I have not yet investigated so there is plenty out there.
Have fun y’all.

Virtually no reports in past week - amazing - a city of nigh on 20 mil people and nobody fucks there nowadays.
UNBELIEVABLE.
And to think - those of us who continually reported on Maggies were chastised as being one dimensional.
Here we are - 7 or 8 months after Maggies closes and seems like there is not one pussy flapping in the breeze in Beijing nowadays.
Any wonder regular mongers are giving Beijing a wide berth - any wonder the Mongol sisters are seeking patronage in far flung destinations - fuck I miss Maggies.

Liang Zi ( 良 子 健 身 ) is a famous legit massage chain in Beijing. They have foot massage and full-body. You can ask your hotel to find the one near your hotel.
99 Center Massage (South of Kerry Center) is another legit massage center.

Did a quick search and couldn't find as much info (listing)as I like for real traditional massage places only (without any sex, happy endings or HJ etc.) Most posts on this subject were either outdated or most places provided "extras".
I will be traveling with a cousin to both Beijing and Shanghai for personal reasons, he just got married several months ago and have not gotten out of his mind that "sex" when new wife is not around is ok (at least in my book). So far he's got to obey Strict orders from new wifey who knows that sex in china is easy so he can only go to legit places. He's only interested in having a decent traditional massage at a good price, for me -the cheaper the price the better as I will save the rest of the money and go to UN-traditional massage places with happier endings when he's not around.
Don't care if it is oiled or not. Provide a list if you can, otherwise PM me.
Also, places with cuter gals and not male or grandma types giving the massage will help.
Since I will also be in Shanghai, I will repeat this post there.
BTW: feels weird asking about places without sex???-must be symptoms of sex withdrawal??
Thanks in advance guys,
PT

Pizdyets,
I have no experience in Beijing, but have had very good luck in Shenzhen and Guangzhou at English Corners. The girls all want to practice their English and one thing can lead to another. That said, it can take a bit of time to score and some will waste your time just to practice.
Just my POV.
