Walked in and asked for massage. The mamasan told me full body for 400.

I have mentioned before the contrast between the Y600 RMB oil massage with manual relief available in the seediest of the three massage places on Datun Road west of the National Convention Center, generally across the road from the National Zoological Museum, and the Y900+ veggie massage on the "Foot Massage" place with the giant sign on Anli Road north of the Line 15 Anlilu Station Exit A.

Now, the Foot Massage place also has a VIP package, and via translate app, the technician indicated that VIP members received additional services that non-members did not receive. With the closest "nice" extra services massage spas within a km or two of BLCU being mostly shut down, I decided to take a flyer on the lowest cost VIP package.

Man, even with more predictable service, the seedy working class massage spa is a much better value for money than the nicer middle class "foot & health massage spa".

There are three main packages in the middle tier, and then there are even more expensive packages I did not try. The three main packages in the middle tier are the Y800 ish meridian massage, the Y1400 "tenderness" massage, and the Y1900 "awakening" massage. Despite the promise of "extra" service, there wasn't any extra service detected for the meridian massage. It was a reasonably good massage from a reasonably attractive technician in her 20's, but the Y400 oil massage from the nicer massage place on Datun Lu from their experienced 40 year old technicians would be every bit as good as a massage, and half the price. You are paying Y400 for having an attractive technician in her pretty qipao and being in a massage spa with good luck goldfish in their tanks longer than your forearm and likely heavier than your entire arm.

The tenderness massage has several phases. First, unlike leaving you to take your own massage, after you rinse off in the shower, she soaps you up from head to toe There is a relaxation massage phase, then a body to body phase. In which the technician remains fully clad in her qipao. Then an "erotic" massage phase, then a prostate health maintenance phase, and a final relaxation phase. The next to last phase finds you with your underwear pulled down and on your hands and knees, with the massage proceeding from the prostate and working forward. As far as maintaining prostate health, if totally emptying the tanks supports prostate health, the devotees of this message likely have healthy prostates. As a form of manual relief, it is rather remarkable, but as far as the difference from the regular manual relief available at Y600 along Datun Road, the extra Y800 does not seem anything like value for money.

The awakening massage is more aggressive. Rather than a qipao, the technical wears a black minidress. The initial relaxation massage followed by a phase where the technician turns on an accompanying music track, straddles you as you lay on your back and does her awakening bump and grind on top of you which involve quite a bit of dry humping. However, as you are wearing your underwear and she is wearing her minidress, it is not as effective as you might expect for nearly Y2,000. It includes similar phases as the tenderness massage, but also includes that little rubber or plastic they fill with water and hold in their mouth to simulate the sensation of a tongue on various sensitive parts of your body. Including both hot and cold water for the full experience.

Altogether, overpriced and excessively choreographed. Under modern conditions, the meridian massage and the tenderness massage might be worth while at half the price, but I couldn't see going back unless I was given an already loaded VIP card for free.

Meanwhile, at the the seedier of the three massage spas on Datun Road, I had the third regular technician and experienced what the Y700 massage is SUPPOSED to be. Rather than the 30/40 something technicians with medically enhanced assets putting those assets to work after the flip, what it is really supposed to be is the technician attends to your during your shower, where after you rinse off she goes over your head to toe, front and back with a rough plastic exfoliator, and then again with that bath salts scrubbing soap. Even though it is Y100 more, it is 1:10 on the session rather than 1:30, so after experiencing the "correct" set once, when she is my technician I opt for the Y600 session.
