True. I don't count myself as one of the fanatical "shave everything" camp (hey, I'm a degenerate from the hippie generation, and we shaved our GFs back when, it's old hat.) But thickets of bush can be a nuisance. Especially because Asian hair commonly is straight as opposed to the more curled European variety. Dang! It dangles! Don't know about Koreans. Excellent post Taire Beijing, which brings up some interesting points - all of which I agree with.

A. When picking up a Mongolian girl I am rarely given to discussing price before hand. I do like to have a chat / drink with the girl first and see what her personality is like. If the first thing she goes to is money I lose interest almost instantly, if they are in a rush then it's a bad sign for later. I like Mongolians for the GFE, if I get the impression it will be mechanical/transactional then I may as well save money and go for a local girl.

While I agree with you generally, just note that with Chinese girls you better agree on a price before to take them out. This is unfair: While the Beijing market for p**sy-for-sale has not quite recovered from its pre-, during-, and post-Olympic crash, there are increasing reports of a mass market of male members for money.

Emanating especially from well-off communities in the CBD, there are disturbing complaints from nicely dressed, Gucci-bag-toting Chinese females. Oh so true - 2 weeks ago I spent 3 nights in BJ - it was just tolerable - then 4 nights in Angeles City in Phils - 100 bars - 5,000 girls - I am still amazed how taking Maggies out of the Beijing scene just obliterates Beijing as a destination to enjoy.

For those of you who are new to experience CN and travel to BJ, (my first visit to BJ was a year ago), I recommend two places to start. 1. Maggies. Stay away from the bar girls (waitresses) and stick by the bar. Buy a gal a drink. Or two. I was in Beijing for a few days last week, and spent a whole evening at the Jinsha Spa Club on Garden Road in Haidian district. On that particular day, I finished my meetings early and got there at about 4pm. The place is a free-standing building of three levels located in a large courtyard behind the Mudan Hotel and a department store whose name has escaped me. I had been there once, almost a year ago, for a straight spa treatment which was very good and professional (no hanky panky at all). Somehow, I felt that it must offer special services, even though it was positioned as a family-oriented bathhouse (yes, I saw kids around, coming with their dads and moms). So, I decided to explore it once again.

A receptionist greeted me at the lobby, and led me up to one of the spa rooms on the second floor. The standard package was really quite simple, consisting of soaking in a bathtub for about half an hour and then an oil massage for about one-and-a-half hours, with a price tag of 888 yuan. No other packages (e.g. body wraps, facial treatment, or volcanic rock treatment) were available. It’s not that cheap but the place is very nicely decorated in Thai style and everything is beautiful and clean, so I think the high price is well justified.

The men’s section is located on the third floor, with the locker room, showers, pools and massage rooms. There is a restaurant on the second floor, where the spa rooms are located. However, I found out from my masseuse there were a number of “guest rooms” on the second floor as well. I thought, correctly, that I could get special services there.

In any case, I had my spa treatment in the spa room, which was well equipped with a toilet, shower and bathtub. The treatment was very professional, no funny business. I did try to seduce my masseuse and managed to get her to massage the top of my thighs, very near my loins, but she wouldn’t go any further than that.

Anyway, I finished my enjoyable spa treatment, dressed up and left the spa room. Then I asked a waiter on the corridor to show me the “guest rooms”. In a couple of minutes a girl came to my room. She was dressed in a tight Chinese style short-sleeve shirt and a mini-skirt that exposed half of her thighs. This uniform was different from that for the masseuse at the spa section, which was a Thai-style sarong.

My girl was a 22-year-old named Wei from Hubei. She was slim, with fair skin and quite good looking. I’d rank her a 7.5. I asked what she had to offer, and she explained that for a single session she could do straight oil massage, while for a double session she could give me a “kidney maintenance”. I agreed, and we went to bed together.

The bed was located in an elevated platform by the window, and was separated from the rest of the suite by a curtain, which had remained open all along. Wei turned off all the lights in the suite, though it was still quite bright because there was a large glass panel on the door through which the corridor’s light could get into the room. I asked Wei to draw the curtain, and the massage room became a bit darker, much to my liking.

Back to my old haunt in Beijing, visited some friends. Unfortunate I need to leave so quickly, but a couple of news items

1) Word on the street is that Maggie's will open next week, and as it's a pretty credible source, I'm inclined to believe. I'm sure you folks will try it out soon enough. I must admit I don't rate that place - Mandarin speakers usually avoid that place for a reason, although it's a hell of an intro to the scene.

2) The dearth of blonds in the bars is quite stunning. I've heard rumors on why they're not here, but none seem credible. I expect this to be a cyclical phenomena. 3) Wow there are a lot of touts in the Asian Olympics area. Things should be back to normal in mid to late November.

Still, I have to say that I have been roaming around the region recently and came across Darling Sauna in Macau. It would easily rank in my Top 3 for each of service quality, GFE and choice of girls. I have made excuses to go back 3 more times since I first went there in August so that should say be saying something. Anyway, cost is HK$14xx for 90 mins with lots of Chinese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, Thai and some Koreans and Russians.
