I popped by the sauna near Sanyuanqiao that's been mentioned by others in previous posts here. The proper name for it is? (that's huan4 xi1 sha1 in pinyin; I've been having trouble with Chinese characters, they look OK on my screen, but come through as question marks).

I wasn't entirely taken with it. I made it clear I hadn't been there before and expected them to explain things to me, but the explanations weren't particularly clear or forthcoming.

The rooms are OK, a bit so-so. The ordinary rooms have two single beds side-by-side (go figure), while the VIP rooms have double, maybe queen beds. Quite comfortable.

I was offered a choice of three girls. They did funny little introductions: "I'm number XX from XX province", but it was all so fast I had trouble catching it. I chose a cute, shortish girl from Shandong. She was a bit business-like, but warmed up after a while. It turned out she was wildly keen on DATY (which suits me fine); this came as something of a surprise, as she was in some other respects quite conservative. When we got around to a second pop, she announced that the house rules required that you had to pay for a second "session" for this. As the session was already expensive enough (898, expensive because of the VIP room, I think), I declined.

As long as you only want one pop, it's OK; if you like (and have the energy) to do a few times, you could run out of money rather quickly (unless of course she was making that up. Perhaps I'll ask if I go back).

I went out the last few days again around 21:00 to check on our BBSs and things were mostly back to normal. Only a few closed already probably because of CNY, but not anymore these very, very strange closures just before sunset.

I agree with Fernando Alonso, 200 RMB HJ in CBD's Dongdaqiao Lu sounds like not getting the best deal in Beijing when one can have FS at the same price almost everywhere else in the city. The place Gaoshou mentioned behind the Asia Hotel has been around for years, so have been Hujialou or Chunxiu Road. And that only covers the stretch of Beijing between the 3rd and 2nd ring East.

My favorite these days is probably Qingnian Goulu, if anyone wants a second oppinion PM Irv Washington, I went with him there before.

I discussed with a cab driver asking him about a red district.

He said he knew a place, south BJ / 4th ring where you got beautiful young ladies. Basically, mamasan are on the street. You stay in your cab and tell her what you want. Then the girls will come out and line up for you to pick one. He said that 1H was 300RMB. It's possible to take away / overnight.

Did anyone heard about that place? Or do you guys think it's a scam and I'm going to finish tied up in a room and robbed?

I used cabbies too last November when I was on vacation to find RLDs, as I had to show a relative around China I lacked the time to find places myself. When done with the sightseeing dropped my relative off at the hotel, got on a cab and asked straightforward for some area with "a lot of BBS please, no ktv, no clubs, please just RLD, thank you very much."

Never been robbed or anything in the four cities I did that (Dujiangyan, Xian, Zhengzhou, Datong). They all knew some places to recommend within the city limits as well as other options further outside. Except in Dujiangyan I lacked the time though to check out the further away places.

I have not (yet) done so in Beijing because it is easy enough to get ST for 200 RMB within walking distance. 300 RMB ST + 120 RMB taxi fare does not really sound like "too good to be true" to me. I always thought about doing this to find some more places like Qingnian Goulu (there must be more
like that) within the city limits, but was always too lazy.

350 RMB for overnight on the other hand sounds odd. Maybe something got lost in translation there. All in all though this sounds fun, if any of you like to go I like to come along. Different from 0:00 Maggies, 21:00 is actually a time I may manage to stay awake.

Noticed a number of recent reports commenting on BBS closures and unusual working hours. I have a good insight into the operation of one BBS near the East Third Ring, and I am told it is due to a combination of factors:-

1. Customer levels have been very low since before Christmas. The girls attribute this to the ongoing cold weather and the heavy snow earlier in January.

2. Partly as a result of point 1, half the girls who work in this BBS have already headed back home for Spring Festival.

3. As a result of 2, the BSS often does not have critical mass to stay open. Customers are less attracted to a store with only 1 or 2 girls on display, and if one of the remaining girl wants time off (to shop etc), the Mamasan often feels its not worth her time hanging around (since so few customers), and so shuts the shop. Also, for safety reasons, a single girl does not work alone.

As a result, you will see this particular shop opening and shutting at irregular times. Hopefully things will get back to normal in March when a full complement of girls are back, and warmer weather encourages more customers.

On special encouragement by my friend Steven James, who has to get all credits for the finding, I checked another MP in the 3** area (details by PM) that gave me the closest to real FS HJ so far. Sweet little girl from I forgot where, must be China I guess that is using every part of her slightly chubby but delicious body to make you come with a total GFE HJ, all for 170 RMB.
