Nice summary Joebanker00. Your review made me try the 8号 sauna, since I'm not much of a KTV guy.

I went to 8号 for a massage. The building is at the very end of the street, past the KTV. Went through the standard locker room and shower procedure, then selected the 90 minute top of the line massage for 500+ rmb.

The girl was pretty and dressed up in a qi pao and I was on a big bed so I thought a hand job was in the works. Turns out they don't do. As best as I can tell in my bad Mandarin, after the Olympics all they do is legit massage. The girl was cool, had a manager come in and they changed my session to 45 minutes for 168 rmb. On the way out, they also charged me another 158 rmb for what they call an entrance fee.

On the way down in the elevator, I asked another customer if 8号 offers any extra service and he said he had no idea. So either you have to be a well know regular or they really don't do anything.

I guess I took one for the team.

My first post here. I just moved to Beijing from the states and have found this forum pretty useful in the past while lurking. Thought I'd add my 2 cents in. Just as background, I'm Chinese-American, in my 30s, have been mongering for a while, speak Mandarin and am mostly into KTVs/Saunas. Have been to quite a few throughout China and Thailand. Hostess fee: 200-300 rmb (models are 300 rmb)
Mamasan fee: 200-300 rmb
Waitress fee: 100-300 rmb (depends on if you get a guy - 4th floor, or girl 3rd floor or basement)
Take out fee: 1000 rmb overnight (think it's 800 rmb short time)
Selection: Around 80-100 girls. Ages teens to mid 20s.
Quality rating: 5s - 8s. Models available, but no stunners.
Description: Diamond KTV is 3 levels. Bottom floor has nicer, newer, bigger rooms. There's also a nightly show in the basement at 11:30pm where the "models" get up and perform on stage. Top 2 floors are older, smaller rooms. Been going to this one for a while and think it's a pretty good value. Many of the girls don't go out - so you'll have to ask the mamasan to bring you only the ones that do if that's what you're looking for. Pretty good GFE experiences with girls here.

Quality rating: 6s - 9s. Definitely a lot stunners. Lots of Dongbei girls.
Description: Number 8 is probably one of the top KTVs in China. The selection is really good - almost every girl is 5'5" and up, thin, hot body, pretty face, etc. There are exceptions, but think this place has good consistent quality. I've been going here for a while and do think the quality/value has dropped off. Things used to be a bit cheaper and the girls used to be a bit hotter. Pretty much all the girls go out (at 4000 rmb a night, who wouldn't?). Great GFE experiences with girls here, especially the more experienced ones. There are also plenty of college girls and "office ladies" who work here as well.

I'd say weekdays around 8pm are probably the best time to go - prime selection. Weekends are a bit slow (so sometimes the Mamasan will give you a bottle - sometimes buy 1 get 1 free at Number 8 on Sundays - not that that really makes Number 8 that much more affordable though). If you go past 9pm or so at any KTV, you take your chances with selection.

Both the numbers work; see my earlier report. Sending her an SMS may work faster as her reading skills are better than the spoken skills. She may ask for your hotel telephone number and the room number and she will figure out the hotel name and get the girl across to you.

I checked out that angels-beijing on blogsnot (don't ask me how) and I found it very professionally written. The prose shows the hand of a native English speaker, and a good writer. No Chinglish mistakes. Is it just me or are there similarities between the blog copy and the recent Virginboy posts? Nothing wrong with that, I applaud the author for doing a good deed and setting up one of Beijing's fair maidens with a quality website. Has anyone else sampled their offerings? Prices sound highly competitive for a quality establishment.

The first time when I called the number (it was pretty late) the lady who picked up the phone couldnt understand english but could manage and i was sent a slightly plump girl for RMB 600 ST + taxi fee. The second time I called, all promises made to deliver and then finally she sent in her apologies; what a waste!! I could have called Lilly instead; but was too late so I passed.

All in all the establishment probably has not got its act in place and the pictures on site could be misleading!

Ended up picking up a freebe though visiting from a small city and spent 2 wonderful days with her. Just a small word or warning regarding Suzy Wong's - they employ several Chinese "drinking girls" who's sole job is to drink and flirt with male guests.
