I was going to let your last post go, but then I re-read it. If you had left off the last two lines, it would have been ok, but you didn't.

Having 700 posts doesn't make me a rock star, especially considering there are members of this board with thousands of posts, and in their presence I am humbled. By coming in, announcing that you don't speak Chinese, and then slagging off someone that you've never even tried, you've indicated that you don't know anything and that you don't give a shit. I see guys like that at Maggie's--no respect for the bar, no respect for the women, and no respect for the rules of the road, and they bring all of us down.

A lot of guys come and go here, both in Beijing and on ISG. Six months ago, Midea took a swipe at the "big pashas," and stirred up so much trouble he got his own thread, a thread that died shortly afterward. And yet the big pashas are still here, answering questions, providing information, and sharing experiences.

If you want to establish cred, there are better ways to do it than by telling us what you don't know. Instead, go out, try some providers, try some places, tell us how it went. There are LOTS of guys just like you who end up in Beijing, not speaking a word of Chinese, and those experiences could be valuable to them. They will also be valuable to you in finding your way in this environment, and eventually, you'll become good at it. Sammy T's Chinese is by no means fluent, but I've never seen him in a situation where he didn't own the room.

I just wanted to share give a quick report on my experience in BJ. I didn't go to any place mentioned in the forum. Honestly the BBS shops are all over the place.
