I was formerly a regular at the old St. Margaret's, at gongti dongmer. Basically lived there from 2000-2004. I have since relocated to southeastern Europe but my thoughts frequently return to the paradise that is Maggie's. Just wanted my brother mongers in BJ to know that, having traversed the German FKKs, the saunas of Lima, the Bangkok Sois, the dens of Phnom Penh and many other of the world's choice hobbyist spots, Maggies is far and away the best establishment I have ever come accross. Hands down. Those of you who have been around for a while will appreciate my memories of Zula, Uzbek Maria and the divine Tuuya, although I'm sure the new crowd there is making new impressions of their own. I've been to that place a few times and I've given it up.

First of all, they don't have a good line-up of girls. One girl told me once that they had 7-8 girls on duty at one time at best. That's probably why the manager did not want to bring the "line-up" in for you to choose.

I found their price to be very high. True, they do have a decent place. but given the other choices available, like Chun Xiu Lu and other sauna, which are providing FS at RMB 600-700 or 800, their price is very high.

Then I found most of the girls to be very mechanical. They do provide you with a lot of variety, like different kind of licking, fire and ice, etc. But it was just like doing them one by one to complete the job. If you have tried it once, the second time would not be that exciting anymore.

At my last time there, the girl I had tried very very hard to push me into taking FS. She wasn't a real GFE to start. And then to pay RMB 300 extra for the FS? I could get FS overnight in some cities in China! I was crazy enough to have paid RMB 800 for the massage and HJ and all the rub and tug! So thanks but no thanks!

Tried the above again a few days ago, had been there last year and some decent experience. This is on the road between the Hard Rock and the small river, before you then get to Lufthansa Center.

I said 'tried', although that's not true strictly speaking, as I got so pissed off by the Mama's behaviour that I left.

First she wants 1100 for full service in the normal room and 1500 in the private room (Last year, I paid 800 and 1100 respectively, even got a deal 1200 for two once). I agree to take the private room, then she doesn't want to bring in a line-up for me to pick (cause it's unfair to the girls ...). Then she wants 200 in cash upfront, with no real explanation why? At that point, I left.

no. they don't provide fs at the mp in wangjing. not even when you call them to your home or hotel. i've tried several different girls there, and all of them said so, unless they were not telling me the whole truth.

However, I believe that percentage of success can be similar to other categories. In case of language tutor maybe it is easier to work that out, as lesson is a good ice breaking situation.

Am currently thinking about a new 'freebie' tactic, namely getting into the panties of some of the ubiquitous language tutors, mostly students or recent grads charging between 50 and 80/ hour to teach you Chinese (which can be a side-benefit)

I've changed focus from Thailand to China in several ways, also concerning the sourcing of personal supplies. I'd like to find a new, reliable tailor for suits in Beijing. My preferred tailor in Bangkok can make a great quality suit (jacket and pants) with Japanese cloth for USD 130 and with Italian cloth for USD 200 all-in (labor and material costs, several fittings, fixed price for all customers) in 10 days.

Does anybody have experience buying such stuff in Beijing and are there some specific shops to be recommended?

I'm not looking for shops that cater only to foreigners/tourists or that sell pseudo Armani/Boss etc. suits. I will be on the road with locals so language won't be a problem and I can bring a sample suit to show the design.

Any recommendations highly appreciated.

If you are larger than the average Chinese male I would be very careful in buying suits in China. The tailors seem to have trouble in getting the fit right and if you want quality it will cost . Light weight summer suits are OK but they do not seem to last that long and lose their "feel" after a couple of dry cleans.

( www.thatsbj.com) There are a couple of posts about men's tailors and the experience various posters have had. From what I can read there are a variety of opinions about quality and prices so I guess it will come down to personal tastes and budget
