Just an update. The area around the Hongpailou metro stop north is full of "massage" places I've described earlier. Found one the other day that was a real gem.

For an airport hotel this place is 5 star. I ended up staying here because the airlines gave me a free room for my 5 hour layover and I made the most of it. The place is a true 5 star and the SPA is fancy. 24/7 but naturally the quality may drop after midnight (natural selection laws).

Anyway, they can send girls to your room. I had two "massages" Second one was a college student and super cute girl. Yang Yang and I almost fell in love with her. I found the shop referenced above. Been back three times. Looks like the younger girl has been replaced by another girl. However, this area is teaming with little massage places. Go down side streets and you'll find plenty. Girls range from MILF to cute young things. Prices start at 100 for HJ, 200-300 for BBBJ. I had two girls do HJ and "tui Jiao" where she put a condom on and straddled me without penetration.

I've been told no FS at several locations.

She brought me to a room that was dimly lit, TV, massage table, huge bathroom. In fact the room was quite big and well-appointed. Pretty classy joint actually. Lots of very pretty girls in the halls in uniform. I asked this girl why the WeChat Advertisement offered sex and she bluntly said, "because they get people in that way" and then she added, that if you become a member you can have access to their special menu. Becoming a member is the usual card thing you run into in China. You give them 3000 RMB on a card minimum and you get a big discount.

I'm guessing there is an FS option, even if it is under the table and I'm reasonably sure there are going to be some other goodies up the price tree. Will advise.

I am passing through Chengdu with a 6 hour layover. I can get out of airport by 5:30 and be back by 9:30 PM. (flight leaves at 11 pm.

What are my Sauna massage options? Don't need FS but girl should be hot and do BJ. Can someone please advice something not too far from airport?

Sauna massages. The places I've been going to usually range in cost from RMB 400 - RMB 700; the low end usually just gives a HJ at the end of a massage, the high-end gives a BJ after all sorts of fun little activities like tongue catbaths, etc. Note. For some places, you might be required to buy a 'gold card membership' to access the higher level services, ie put around RMB 3000 on the card (they'll often 'gift' you an extra RMB 500 or something of 'house money' Sometimes, the 'listed' price might be RMB 998, while those who have the 'gold card' will get a discount to RMB 698. To me, this is way too much when FS is not involved. I've heard from a number of people that saunas in Chengdu rarely offer FS now, as the risk is too high; not sure if true or not. Regardless, do not recommend.

That's what I've seen in the past year or so. Note that this is from the perspective of a near-local. Just trying to help out!

I have thought a lot about posting to this forum which has helped me find so many things. The one place I will recommend isn't some amazing glamorous spot but the girl is really cute thin and adorable. Your whole experience sounds like a hustle and a bunch of bait and switch. More like a scam. So you are talked into paying over $900 USD to be a member just to a HJ. To me that is ridiculous man. My guess is they already have you money and you did not ask the details. How long does your membership last before it expires? LOL. A month? 3 months? You don't know. Then Even if you get a HJ next time. I get the feeling because its a nice place the girl will demand a tip of 500 RMB per HJ or something like that. Then when you complain. The manager will tell you all you paid for was the membership fee and again try to upsell you. Give us informed because its a funny story.

Been back a second time, no hustle- 2 hour relaxing massage followed by happy ending, full use of the place for as long as I want it. As I said, I live here and speak decent Chinese. The place has been in business since I moved here 3 years ago and there are about five locations around Chengdu. Total damage was 600 RMB out of the 3000 I put on the card. Not sure what exchange rate you're using but 3000 RMB is about $400 USD for which they have given me 6 k in credit with no expiration date. (I asked).

This is a standard Chinese business model from hair salons, to coffee shops to HongQi. If it was some random spa, I wouldn't have done it.

It's a typical high-end Chinese spa with all amenities. It would easily be worth 600 RMB just for a veggie massage.

Unfortunately, it looks like no other extra services in the spa. Next visit, I'll try a new girl.

Thanks for the report. I look forward to details on the service extras. Next year, I will sometimes work in CD not too far away at Hi-Tech Zone. Obviously an upmarket and fairly expensive place (without the membership card), and the manager and staff are well trained to extract the kuai and probably wary of first time customers!

I recognise from your writing that you have considerable experience plus good language skills. I appreciate that deposit membership cards are a standard business practice in these establishments, but personally I would only buy once I had established the quality of service, and decided to become a regular. Then of course much cheaper than paying the full rate, and pretty much risk free (unless the business shuts down)!
