Following 2 pops previous night, I was bit tired. Spent second day in meeting with clients. After meeting a local colleague took me out for dinner and drink. As we are not very close, we stuck to normal activity, as in actual having food and drink without any "happy" activity.

Was in Chengdu for 2 nights thought I would update everyone what happened.

First pop:

I stayed in Shangri La, right above Chengdu Lankwaifong, which is also known as bar street. As soon as I checked into the room, I started to get strangers requesting to connect with them on wechat. I tried a few, and basically similar offer. Outcall service for 8-10. I picked one with best looking picture. Provider refused to VC and asked for my mobile number. Within an hour someone called and asked me to go to lobby to pick her up. Obviously it's a different girl then the one in the wechat picture. But it was getting late and I didn't have any other option so decided to give it a try. Less money if you get a card. Don't quote me on price. The one girl I had was pretty good in terms of service. They were recommended when Hongwasi was closed for high winds.

All places you need rudimentary Chinese. Please don't ruin these spots for other Lao Wai. I'm a regular, and I'm treated quite well. Be respectful and courteous.

Sorry I can't share my FS girls with you. There are three that are out of this world, that took a lot of digging to find.

Well KTV's are my thing and getting to know girl, of your choice, at least a bit, before deciding what is going to happen the rest of you night, works for me!

And I will say that KTV's are alive and well and well stocked with girls. And with a KTV girl you can generally assume that you aren't the 4th, or 10th customer of that evening.

I added some dude's WeChat via the little sexy girl business cards you find on the street outside the bars and nightclubs. He told me about a spa. Then a different WeChat I added via Tinder told about the same place. They're promoters that get a commission, and I've been burned by these types before, but sometimes they lead you to a legitimate place of ill-repute. I went to the place, I couldn't tell if it was a brothel or just a really fancy hand job place.

They wanted me to pay upfront. In my experience, the places that I really enjoyed in Harbin and Wuhan would have you pay after the service. While the places that would just try to sell you the illusion of sex but where really just stringing you along because they really didn't offer sex there (whether in Wuhan or Guangzhou) wanted you to pay upfront. Am I being paranoid and do I need to pay upfront? Or do the legit full service places have you pay after the fact? Am I right about this?

I felt weird about paying the 888 they wanted upfront, and didn't go through with it. I had been burned by a similar looking place in Wuhan that had me pay way too much for a crap massage wherein the girl went running out the room once I took of my clothes. I also had similar experiences where spas in Guangzhou would try to get me to sign up for an expensive message, and after much probing as I considered agreeing, they would finally tell me that full service wasn't allowed in Guangzhou. Because of said previous bad experience, the situation didn't feel right. I didn't feel like taking one for the team to find out.

In any event, the place is called Longtai International Health Spa.

I'd never, ever pay first before seeing a lineup, but that's me.

I can understand paying after you choose your girl, as that happens to me 25-50% of the time. I prefer when all is said and done, front desk style. Before is just ridiculous though, and I won't support a place like that.

Again, I never, ever trust info / intel from those cards anymore. It's probably just BBBJ and you're over-paying 200-400 rmb. Do report back if you return tho.
