South China - Guangzhou

1. Ever taken the train from Guangzhou to Sanya? Takes longer but always been a little fantasy to have train sex in a private car Plus the train on the ferry seems cool too.

2. Would you stay out at one of the self contained resorts? Or closer to town? She requested a nice quiet place in nature away from the city, but I know Chinese women loath the sun. I am afraid during the day we will be bored if we do not stay near the downtown area. Which might be a good thing, but I do enjoy a variety of restaurants and do not want to be stuck at only one place. Is it easy to go back and forth? 1) Do not take the train. There is no Hi-speed train to Hainan, only on Hainan. And Chinese old trains are NOT romantic.

2) Stay in Yalong Bay. There are many restaurants, overpriced, but it has the best beach, the cleanest water and it is away from, but not too far away from, downtown. The hotels are in your price range (if you are talking 100-200 dollars, not RMB) EXCEPT during National Day week, October 1, and during Spring Festival. The beach is not used by locals, so it is clean and uncrowded.

3) No problem checking in.

4) There are mountains in Hainan, one right next to Yalong Bay, if you are bored.

My usual mode of operation for purchasing tickets fot local flights within China:

- I check flight schedules on ticket. 9588.com.

- I determine which flight (s) I want time wise and pricewise.

- I always use the hotel's travel desk or (in case no travel desk) go to a local travel agency with instructions which flight I want. Knowing all ticket prices in advance can prevent you from any unpleasant surprises.

QQ app is better in Guangzhou. Also you might have to goggle "QQ girls Guangzhou" in advance and add some contacts before you leave for China.

Most adds are in Chinese but you can sort it out.

Guangzhou is full of nice girls, problem is none speaks English and that's why are not available to foreigners.

When I was there 2 months ago I had a car with a local driver at my disposal. He was a young chines guys, he showed me on his phone he had contacts for over 400 girls on QQ. I've been a busy boy recently.

Yesterday I went to Longkou W road, and saw several massage places there. Go to Gang Ding Station and go out Exit A. Walk West until you see Longkou Xi Road. Turn right onto that street and keep walking. On you left hand side you will see several massage places. The Team Anal Ease Hotel seems to be out of business. At least temporarily. The Letters are taken off the hotel and their are barriers all around and a sleeping Chinese security guard. Never tried the place but heard many good things about it. Don't know if it's shut down for good or just temporarily.

The next block north of it is the Ying Shang Hotel at 91 Longkou W Rd. The sauna is on the 6th floor. This place was magic! It is very upscale compared to a lot of the more dingy places in Guangzhou. Very post and immaculate clean. Lots of neon and black lights everywhere. Kinda looks like a night club. They offer a massage that says, "Body to Body Massage (NO SEX)" for 398 RMB. I went there again tonight to check it out. Lights were on and there were two guys at the reception desk this time. They told me that the renovations won't be completed until July, but couldn't give me an exact date. I'm going back to Canada on June 17th and won't return until July 22nd. Sanmao Hotel at 374 Huanshi Dong Lu. This is actually east of the Garden Hotel and off Taojin Lu not on the main road of Huanshi Dong Lu. Go to 4th floor and there is a small reception area. Only one choice and that is 318 yuan massage. Of the massage places I visited, this ended up being my favorite but not until I visited a few times and figured out how things worked because my Chinese is minimal and the managers speaks minimal English.

The elevator is toward the back of the hotel. The front ones will bring you to a chess club and not what you want. I love this spa. It is way more upscale than the Sanmao. A bit more expensive but 5 times as big as Sanmao spread over several floors. Food is much better too with a cafeteria style dining room. During meal time, it is like a large Chinese buffet with over 20 dishes of food. In between meals, you can order noodles and snacks but the menus are in Chinese only. The lounge chairs have charging cables for iphones and android devices. When you are ready for a massage, one of the helpful hostess will arrange a girl for you based on your preferences. The hostess was quite cute herself in her early 20's. Only HJ finish by a cute petite 22 year old in a white dress who knew some english. This place located at 320 Chang Di Lu on lobby level at the back. Closest Metro station is Yide Lu on Line 6. I had read previous report on forum with prices for FS and for HJ. Now only a HJ is on offer.

Set up is like a sauna, with locker room, male attendants to help with putting your clothes in the locker. Shower plus a soaking pool which I never saw anybody use. 10 yuan for shorts and shirt out of a wrapped bag or plain ones for free. You walk up the two floors to the lounge and you go through another locker room 1 floor up which is not in use. Sad, I imagine this place has seen busier days. Not too many other guys, maybe 6 others. They have a buffet with many varieties of food but only put food out around meals times. Large lounging around room with lounging chairs each with its own individual TV and there is free wifi. You may bring your phone with you.

An actually decent massage. 238 yuan gets you the Thai massage for 90 minutes with HJ. Roaming under her top was allowed. I would guess she was in her late 20's, not dressed in sexy outfits but long sleeve tops and long pants.
