Outrageous price difference for red rope or so is kind of standard in Guilin, so is in Yangshuo. A couple of years ago in Guilin, Maggot was quoted 888 for a room with all sorts of strange equipments in the room, and 388 for another room next door, both with the same choice of girls. You'll be quoted 800 in Yangshuo saunas for service with red rope, but it drops down to 300 for regular service without red rope. Probably there is just one sauna offering red rope, the one located right at the entrance of west street. Those 300 RMB offers you'll find at almost every hotel with in house MP.

This is my second time to Guilin and this hotel, but my first opportunity to sample the wares.

Having read about the street scams here I decided to play it safe and stick to the hotel sauna. The last report on this is about 2 years old, so I thought I would check it out.

Just left Guilin two days ago. I read the forum, and mongering didn't look promising based on 1) Scams and 2) prices. But I have some good news to report.

I was at the CITS office on Shanghai Nan Lu (near the train station) inquiring about some tours when they recommended me to a hotel 1 min walk away. The hotel is: Tie Dao Bin Guan (or Jiu Dian, I forget). In English its called the Railway hotel. Its on Shanghai Nan Lu.

Anyways, I checked in and was ready to call it a night, when I noticed a massage centre. I decided to check it out and I was suprised to see that it wasn't even posing as a sauan, just a blatant brothel. There was a small room of about 15 girls. Fairly obvious what was happening here. I talked with the papa san and rates were 150 for one shot and 400 overnight. Now, I had a room at the hotel, so I picked one and brought her up. I don't know what the deal is if you're not staying at the hotel, because there was not back froom or anything. But if you're staying at the hotel, just bring her up.

Quality was decent, ranging from 4 to 7 and possibly an 8 or so, depending on your standards.

Went back to the room, showered, and did the deed. I did not ask for BJ as I don't like it (yes, I know, its strange). But everything else was good. You get 45 mins, and afterwards, we hung out and watched tv and I showed her some of my vacation pics. Good GFE.
