Can anyone recommend a budget KTV in Shanghai or in a nearby city? Preferably with strip games, etc. If you can, what would be the total cost (beer) for two persons including everything but sitting fees. Thanks so much if you can help.

I am not sure what you think is a "budget KTV", because the range here is very wide, but let's try this:

I know a good one not far from Gubei district, for two guys should be around 2000 to 3000 including a lot of beer and whiskey (enough for you two guys and your 2 to 4 girls), the sitting fee there is 300 to 400 (including nude games), but no one there can speak any english.

Another one I checked near Jing An Area is higher level (from rates, but also girls and enviroment) and will be around 4000 to 5000 for you two guys and the girls, the sitting fee is 500 to 700 (also nude games, could go up to BJs), but here they also have a mamasan who can speak a decent english and she can join your party and translate for you and arrange the games, also some of the girls there can speak basic English.

I gave Cathy a try a little while back. Very accommodating and nice. But her looks were not my cup of tea. Short, waist not thin, small breasts. Her figure is not great. Most Chinese guys would give her 3/10. But to each his own.

Another pattern should be known and avoid is 2 or 3 guys mostly one girl and two boys ask you to take a picture of them then start conversation by asking where are from etc. I trapped two times and after took pictures, my answer to where are you from was it is not your f. King business.

recently during my business trips i have decided to stay one night at shanghai and explore the city and this is the report.

i have read a lot about almost everything and since i don't know any chinese, thought it would be difficult to effectively communicate with taxi drivers so planned to use maglev and then metro as main transportation, visit tang dynasty at afternoon, nanjing road at evening and manhattn at night.

if you are going to use metro the < exploreshanghai. com / metro / has good information about shanghai metro and very useful apps for ios and android.

also all signs and guides in metro is bilingual so no need to any paper map, nevertheless paper metro maps are available at hotels.

i booked a good 5 star hotel at jingan area to be in a good location.

arrived at about 10 am to pudung airport, bought a metro card and then a 2 way maglev card (metro card was redundant as if you are going to return within 7 days you can charge the maglev and use it as metro card).

maglev is amazing especially at mornings when its speed is over 400 km / h and save at least 1 hour of my valuable time.

took line 2 and at destination found my hotel without any problem. by getting the room it was about 12:30 pm.

shower and shaving the metro to line 9 qi bao station.

based on sauna maps on shanghai guide site and despite of misdirection of google maps for china i thought i can find the spot easily but i was so wrong.

after a long walk i found myself at the position but there was no sign of tang dynasty.

tried to ask some people and the security guard of a building at the position with no lock (commercial or governmental building i believe).

i just forgot to bring the taxi card (not from shanghai guide but another site) with me, how stupid.

after 20 minutes of looking around and starting to get attention and suspicion of the people i realized that it is a dead end.

fast jugging back to metro station, got the train, changed the line, back to the hotel, got the card back to train, changed the line and at qi bao station again.

the address of the tang dynasty is no. 2407 at qi shen street (qi xin lu) and the odd numbers are at the west side of the street, quite opposite of what was shown on shanghai guide site.

the starting address number was about 400 above the 2407 so i thought i might had to pass 200 buildings but i was wrong and after signal it drops, the distance of tang dynasty from qi bao station is about 1. 2 km so you decide for yourself to walk or take a taxi.

you can see the difference on the map image attached, the wrong position of shanghai guide is crossed blue.

inside the building the guards asked something that i didn't understand just showed them 6 and a guy guided me to the elevator.

at the reception a guy on his iphone showed me the rates for different colors (yellow 880, red 980, blue 1080) which i agreed they guided me trough a very confusing path to the selection which was about 7 girls (6 normal, one 1080).

the only blue one (1080) had wide eyes which may looks attractive to chinese but for me it was quite regular and i preferred much to choose a cute with tight chinese eyes.

the girl guided me to the room and brought me a coke. she was 23 and did her best, i tried to use google translate to establish some communication but since i couldn't speak chinese and she couldn't speak english the whole session was rather boring for both of us.

next time if ever, maybe it would better to ask for 2 girls, they could talk together and i could enjoy their beauty.

tang dynasty is clean, private and safe. the locker is in the room and the furniture is reasonably in good condition.

another long walk to qi bao station and at about 19:30 at nanjing road.

the place is interesting and worth to visit, i was offered sex massage many times which of course refused.

the place was full and the ratio was good. ordered a double premium whiskey (100 cny, so expensive) and made a round to see what is available.

most of them were viet girls, some normal chit chat, tow more rounds of double whiskey and to my surprise the belly dance was started followed by two russian dancers, very entertaining to see chinese belly dance.

at about 1 am i decided to go back and took a viet beauty with me for 1500 cny full night.

took taxi for short ride and to my surprise again no one was at the door or at the lobby so we flawlessly reached to my room.

we had a good and decent conversation for about 30 40 minutes, mainly to see if i need registration or any trouble is on the way and luckily there was none.

she was good in everything and did her best especially stayed until 9 am so i tipped her 100 cny (and she didn't ask for payment at all).

shower, good breakfast, metro to maglev to the airport.

to me shanghai is a good place with some memos.

Went to a place called A Hai Sauna last week in Shanghai. I would say it is very much off the beaten path. I would say it is more "local" than a Bodi or 777, at least in terms of the waiting area, etc. Probably Chinese 4 star hotel equivelent. The rooms are pretty decent though. I would say at least the equivalent of Bodi, if not better.

Location:

71 West Suzhou Road.

Floor 2 - you have to take the stairs to the back right after you enter, the elevator won't stop on the 2nd floor.

It isn't too far from the Shanghai rail station, but taxi drivers may not know exactly how to get there because it is on a small street that is parallel to Suzhou Creek. It is actually in a small office building of six stories or so. When I first went up the stairs the guy sitting outside came up and stopped me. Said it was not convenient for me to go up, but when I said I wanted a massage he said ok.

The manager was nice and after gave me a card and said to call ahead next time so he can make sure that he had beautiful girls in the lineup.

Line up when I went on a Friday night 8 PM was about 8 girls. All okay. I chose 26 from Guang Dong, who was about 23-24 years old, nice body, face (except a scar where she had an abortion). Very good and not a complainer about anything. I am getting tired of going to Bodi or something and after 1 shot the girl is ready to go.

Anyway, damage is 880 for 90 minutes, including shower in the soapy area. I thought that was a good value. Also, in the last 30 minutes if you want a second girl it is only 300 RMB extra. More if you want a second girl the full time. I thought it was interesting to offer this in this way. I didn't accept but was thinking maybe next time.

If you went to the Bao'An sauna Pudong (near former Purple Mountain Hotel), then you were so close to SiYuan, which is on the 3rd floor of the Merrilyn Hotel. SiYuan is pretty reliable in terms of selection and service.

Unchange, take a shower, dress to this funny bath things. Then for the 1st time in my life I had to choose from the line. Around 15 girls.
