Mongering in Shanghai is fast becoming extinct.

While it is very bad that the saunas are closed and the MPs offer only rushed and overpriced HJ service, the independent apartment girls are alive and well. FS "classes" can be had for 400, most "teachers" ask 500-600 for an hour of bliss. I know it seems cumbersome to explore the compounds, but as I previously wrote it is not that difficult for the intrepid and hungry punter. Go check the aishxx website (well reported here on ISG) and see the girls' profiles, everyday new girls go online. You can arrange everything with the help of Google translate or the Wechat translator function. If you are lucky you can have an almost similar dry sauna experience. When the circumstances change (LE crackdown) we need to adapt as well, so perhaps this is going to be the future of a gentrified Shanghai.

Will we be preparing for sexual vacations in Japan and Thailand sooner than later? Will foreigners be assigned a "social credit score score" like the Chinese citizen? The car and scooter drivers are stopping for red lights and bring far less pushy at intersections. Garbage and rubble is disappearing from the streets even in shi* hole suburbs of Suzhou. And our loving of Chinese and Vietnamese tourist women is being constrained. Fences along the roads are preventing jaywalkers from crossing at the safest place, away from crosswalks. Traffic cops are telling me to get back on the curb. An army of uniformed Martinets have employment enforcing social norms. Only good aspect is that more non smoking restaurants are available.

Talking to employees at the spa, they seem optimistic that things will loosen up in the new year.

Some people seem to think things will get better after CNY yes but year after year a new thing ruins the mood so its not that sure.

She told me she just arrived and Judy's is now charging the girls 5000 rmb / month to be in there to work. This may be the end of Judy's and Manhattan's as we know it. Used to love visiting Shanghai so very sad to see the current state that it's in. Went scouting yesterday and confirmed that my go-to sauna is closed. Lots of cars parked around so possibly under renovations. Checked out my go-to spa and they are doing construction during the day as well, making changes to all the rooms. Paid $350 for an hour which used to cover pretty much everything except FS. Now with the rooms exposed, it was just an hour long tease. Was only offered a very quick HJ at the end for $300 tip. Talking to employees at the spa, they seem optimistic that things will loosen up in the new year.

Two hotels I was at in Jingan have a dedicated person at a desk checking for ID and asking if you are a tenant. Some providers will not come to a hotel anymore. I'll look for a service appartment.

Earlier today I was talking with a friend who said me he went to Manhat two days ago to have some fun with some visiting friends and the place was completely empty! Just the doormen and the bartender. Same for jdys. This is sad.
