The many foreigners who got their visa cancelled for drug detection lately reported not getting a ban and being able to come back so its unlikely they'd ban you for a HJ in a MP.

I always wondered what would happen when the VISA gets taken away. I don't have a Z VISA, but I do use a business VISA, if that gets revoked will it hinder my chances of working there again?

MPs being raided:

- if noone gets caught in the act and noone confessing anything, worse case scenario 24 h at the local police but most of the time nothing.

- if one gets caught in the act, clients get 24 to 48 h, girls 1 to 10 days, boss up to 20 days if not charged or much more if charged.

I only got raided once over my many years and MPs. Police opened the door, checked I was wearing the blue trousers and girl was just massaging my head and left.

Also, assuming you have no personal reason not to (no family at home) what would be the advice on meeting girls at these bars and going back to your apartment rather than a hotel?

I used to bring girls back to my home, and I also ordered girls to my home from agencies. You just need to make sure you keep them happy, since they now know where you live. And it would be helpful if your place has decent security or requires a key card to use the elevator, so that they don't get any funny ideas about returning with a couple of guys to beat you up and rob you. Finally, you will probably want to hide anything that will give away your identity if you want to remain an anonymous John.

it's just that, speculation. Everything or anything anyone knows is just a guess as good as anyone's. So enough with the reports of when the MPs might open. Reports on MPs that are reopened would be far more informative and helpful.

It was said here the anti gang task force sent from BJ was to leave Shanghai around the 30th of June and places would reopen from the 26th for legit places, 28/29th for bars and some MPs, up to the end of the following week.

I witnessed just that, with some HJ / BJ MPs opening on the 29th, 30th, 1st. And wechat announcement for other places they'd reopen on the 5th and 6th.
Pretty much 80 to 90% of the places I knew of in may 2019 have reopened. As reported by members here, it was pretty packed in the shops last weekend with lots of new girls.

Shanghai has announced dismantling 176 criminal gangs and opening 1 year of investigation against them focusing on shark loans and such... lets hope that keeps BJ happy and that SH won't look too much at our hobby.
