You're confusing several things. The 2000-3000 sauna girls are for the upper and upper middle class Shanghai locals. Remember this is Shanghai, which is the wealthiest or second wealthiest city in China and relative to the number of Chinese guys who can afford that price, the supply of sauna hookers is relatively low. The saunas are usually busy. The Korean and Japanese business travelers also love these places.

The 1000-1500 RMB Viets are mostly for Westerners. I don't now where you find online hookers for 100-150 USD but not where I live. Comparatively speaking the Viets are better value than what I can get in my city, even though they're a pretty shitty value when you consider other places in the world like the Philippines.

The middle class Chinese locals rarely go to saunas and their main source of women are the QQ and WeChat girls that cost 400-500 a pop.

So basically your "3000 RMB" covers only one segment of China's P4P scene and the prices overall are in-line with the actual market.

These are great questions so let me help. The chinese have a different culture about money. Having money is new to them. Sometimes they like to brag about what they spent more than they brag about the girl. KTVs are strange expensive experiences on their own. Renting a room, having girls sit with you and having drinks with them that you buy, getting drunk and eventually paying too much to take a girl home after the night ends. It's always baffled me but I've come to the conclusion that's the way it is.

Let's talk judys and manhattans. Read my past posts. I have been a long standing person with the samcan 1000 rmb ($150) 2 pop rule. Many didn't get that price from one particular girl and told me I was crazy. A lot of factors play in. If a girl had one customer already she may be holding out for more on the second.
