How far ahead do you let the manager know you're coming? Day before / day of, or do you give him farther ahead notice to book a specific girl from the photos?

I usually call before I am ready to come over. They are not going to reserve for you unless they know you well and you are the frequent customer. You do not need to call day before because no one know what happen tomorrow.

It helps if you are Chinese looking as the model I pick at the WuJiaoChang sauna told me she refuses to service foreigners.

Every sauna I went to, I never saw a single foreigner.

Anyway, If you use wechat with the manager, you will have to write in Chinese. Wechat offers a translation option but it's crap. LOL.

If you cannot read or write Chinese, best solution for you is to send vocal message.

You do not need any reference, just the wechat contact is enough to get location, prices and pictures of girls available.

As a Westerner, I've always been welcome in every sauna. Only once was I refused because the girl was afraid of my size (more folklore than reality). Many girls comment they were happy to get a chance to be with a Westerner. Helps that I speak decent Chinese. So while I rarely see other Westerners in the saunas, I don't believe there is much benefit to being Asian, based on my experience.

Wooha! Brothers I was going through the reports and it looks like an uphill task to monger in SH without speaking Chinese. I am here for a week, anyone please suggest a sauna where I can manage with English? Or perhaps one of the site I can find English speaking independents / wgs?

If you want to get around in the scene, WeChat is a must. Otherwise no chance. I'm not Chinese speaking but can handle perfectly by using WeChat and it's integrated translation tool. You write in English, he writes in Chinese. Within WeChat you press on the Chinese text and it gets translated automatically. Very easy to handle. I do it the same way as suggested by others and go on the websites below, scan the WeChat Code and contact the manager. Really simple. I then ask for pictures and prices. They normally send you a list with the different price levels as well a link with pictures. I then specifically ask for the address and Google Maps. They will send you a link which you can use with Goggle Maps on the iPhone. I then make an appointment with the manager and go to the place (Taxi or Metro). You simply show Google Maps to the Taxi Driver and that's it. I normally make a "print screen" = picture of the Chinese address from Google Maps to zoom it for the Taxi driver. Otherwise difficult to read. . And don't forget your Hotel address in Chinese as you have to find your way back. Some of the locations are in remote places and Taxi drivers do not understand a single word of English.

Once I'm there, I make a picture of the area, send it to the manager and he will pick me up. This has always worked out perfectly. In case you want an English speaking contact, I know a manager in the Minhang district who is HongKong Chinese and speaks English. It's a while that I visited him and do not know the current status. The sauna is in the lower end price range and starts at 700 RMB for daily specials.

SnG has some English speaking girls, both Asian and Russian, also Manhattan and Judy bar also has English speaking south east Asian girls. Even with freelance non English speaking girls you can try communicating with wechat but IMO that gets tiring for both the girl and yourself.

The ads all look the same, prices a little different. How did you pick? Hard to tell which ones have better looking or better service girls. Even if you book ahead, picture might be fixed up or could be starfish in bed.

I'm going next week, was thinking the more expensive places have nicer rooms, maybe better girls.

I picked based on prices (although very slight difference) and location.

But I've almost never been disappointed by service in a sauna. General rules would be the more you pay the better looking the girls are.

Nuru is the Japanese term for the "wet service" that most of the saunas provide before bed action.

I tried to use subway as much as possible that's why having an internet access on your phone is important (maps and wechat). Sometimes you have no choice especially after 11 pm when all the subway lines are closed.

I did not go to MinHang district. Too far away from my place.

Regarding anal and BB sex I have no clue sorry as I am not really interested in those things.

Prices have gone up in that a double flight is now RMB500 for the second girl not RMB400 as it was in the past. First girl is still RMB600 in the afternoon. Just completed an excellent session with 378 and 288, and may need a drip to replace all the fluids I lost. Not the hottest girls in Shanghai, but probably the best consistent service.

How do you find all these sauna places? From some web pages? What's "Nuru" mean? The sauna you visited were spread out in different places, you took taxi or use subway? "Minhang" area sauna were still closed? Any place provide anal service? Bareback sex?
