I am in Shanghai currently, just wanted to have an update on things.

Actually I just came from a reconnaissance tour around some old places that I knew and to my surprise many are still there (at least 3 or 4) and I can garantee they didn't turn veggie.

Steven is still in jail in Shanghai, currently doing his 5th year of his 12 year sentence. I will generally check in from time to time, how he is doing. Although since the COVID virus started, personal visits are no longer allowed in Qingpu prison. So only from hearsay right now, he is still okay (as far as you can say for someone locked up in a Chinese prison).

It seems there's Steve's all over the ISG country threads, guys who start out as regular mongers trading insights, then leverage their knowledge into some form of pimping. The Peruvian and Costa Rican "Steve's" are also now doing hard time in prison. Dangerous way to make a living, but these guys develop a false sense of confidence and cockiness the longer they don't get caught. Steve's a great guy who felt he was providing a service that helped both mongers and WG's.

Steve's sad tale is also a great reminder to never reveal real name, phone, email, FB, etc to a WG, site like ISG or dating agency. Fake emails, burner SIMs, etc.
