What is safe and not safe during the Expo in November?

I don't have any intel on what the local government and what LE cares about during the Expo. So, would appreciate any intel or educated opinions on what is safe and not safe for next few weeks for the following:

-using agencies, such as Rain, for incall to gal's place.

-using agencies, such as Rain, for outcall to hotel.

-using indies and their personal contacts, such as NLO girls, for incall to gal's place.

-using indies and their personal contacts, such as NLO girls, for outcall to hotel.

    -using HJ MPs.

-using hybrid MPs, that offer both veggie and HJ options.

-using legit MPs that only offer veggie.

    -using MPs that offer FS.

-using massage room service within Chinese hotels, where most offer FS.

    -using roving saunas.

-bringing a gal back to the hotel.

I will start. I asked a gal at the Spring MP on Madang Lu (she gives HJ for the 336 menu option) if it'the be safe to see her, and she said yes.

    Things Quieting Down in Shanghai

I saw Manhattan closed yesterday (on a Saturday night, no less). My roving saunas are also mostly down for now. Will have to wait out this big export event, I guess. On other hand, when Manhattan girls just hag out on street I actually like it. No competition from Chinese fat cats, and these Viet chicks anxious to get in out of cold.

Opening a branch of Maggie's? I'm all for it, Judy's needs some competition and Shanghai could do with more tall and pretty working girls from the North.

Expect continued close surveillance until well into November.

    Helen and friends

Anyone know what happened to this agency? Are they still around?

    Re: The storm.

    Hey y'll,

Back in Shanghai for a bit. Man, so much has changed. Walked by my old haunt with all the fishbowls. Zhongshan Beilu. Everything's weak now. Had a little for about 310 - FS with BBBJ but this around 5 in the afternoon.

Really wanted to see my go to. Messaged her on WeChat. She say's the city's under scrutiny, police are cracking down. She and her "sisters" have been put on "vacation".

FML. Trying to convince her to come to my hotel. Wish me luck boys.

    Neems.

Whether or not this is actually the case or not I have no clue; it's entirely possible they've just gone the route of the veg places where you need to know how to ask for more. Case in point: the North Shaanxi spot is open again, but looks nothing like before. Anyone daring enough to scout it out?
#18, its former star performer tells me it's a veggie foot massage joint now. She was at another Jingan location but is on vacation due to the "meeting".

Its more than a storm, its self preservation being enforced by local police as when the national congress happened last year or when xi came with putin 3 years ago.

Local police will be overzealous even causing issues with legit shops. If any issue gets reported career advancement will seriously be compromised for them.

Great advice and consistent thoughts from a few of you. I will check into the hotel and leave some toiletries and clothes there, maybe stop by a few times during my week stay and mess up the sheets. My lady friend really wants to host me at her apartment and show me her life, but I don't want to make myself a target. Your advice is perfect. Don't totally abandon the hotel after checking in, but it seems like if I don't give them a reason to turn me in things will be fine.

    Much appreciated.
Is there a reason you just can't use her address? If your friends, what's the problem? As far as I know that's legal. Is this a business trip so you need a hotel? If not spend the money on her instead of a hotel.

i see in your post you don't want to register but i doubt it's a real issue. other than the fact that it's the police..... guests register at hotels. when i had a chinese girlfriend, she registered at my hotel so often, the hotel stopped having me come down and just had her sign in and sent her up.

    Shanghai Weather.

As noted in another forum a big storm is sweeping into town with the CIIE coming in a few weeks.

Thanks for the replies about the hotel registration question

Several times I've booked hotels for a few days or a week and only showed up days and not spent the night. Never questions.
I agree with this. In fact, I did this recently when I went to Beijing last week.

Do you think the hotel would notify the police that wasn't actually staying there? Should I try to convince her that we need to stay in the hotel at night?
If you register at the hotel, the hotel does the police declaration for you.

If you don't stay at the hotel but choose to stay at a private home, you have to go to the police with the owner (if she is) or her rental contract to state you'll stay there.

Registering is a rather simple process and it should be done within the first 2 days of your arrival. However if you choose not to follow the law and get controled or involved in any kind of event where they'll check your ID (accident, fight, whatever) you'll be fined several thousand RMB and a mention will be put on your file in the police station.

    Another one bites the dust.

Another of my favorite MPs closed a few weeks ago, and on my last visit to check up had its interior stripped down. It used to be a Hao Di Fang on Zhangyang Road, near the Century Ave Metro (you can see the wayback archive of SNL to see more details). A couple of years ago it changed to e-Health Massage, and I always found it to be a good deal: they had a special back massage for 168 where the girl would walk on your back, and then give you a footjob for 1 or 2 extra Maos (sometimes free). Not a bad deal for the location.

We'll see what happens after refurbishment is finished, but I expect it will turn legit. It seems there is a big effort to clean up Pudong.
