Body spa is surely heaven. I am curious about the hotel itself? How was it?

I might consider staying there next time I am in Shanghai.

The Hotel is actually pretty nice. Ultra modern with really big rooms and bathrooms. Maybe a bit weathered after a few years but still I like the place.

I paid something like 450 for the night with breakfast buffet included by prebooking on Ctrip.

It's not too convenient for other things. You have to walk about a kilometer to get to some restaurants and the nearest subway.

Is very far. BUT. Considering you can just walk next door whenever the mood hits was a great plus.

In the past I've walked out of a sauna at 11 PM and spent another hour trying to find a cab.

First of all, thanks to all who gave some assist on my recent Shanghai visit. I never made it to the bars because my schedule pretty much left me falling asleep by 10.

I did spend a few days in Panyu Guangzhou and I got to say. There is so much talent walking around but I'll be damned if I could find anything to line up. I never resorted to asking the doorman but I didn't see shit for spas or massage joints. I have to go there often and it would be great to line up a little honey for repeat business but the board is barren and I really don't want to spend an evening at a KTV (alone).

I arrived in SH Pudong for an overnight before my trip home and needed a hotel in Pudong. So why not just stay at Bodi? The hotel is reasonable and it's an easy walk next door to paradise.

I've reported before that my last 2 visits left me with a choice of 5 girls in a hall way with 3rd choice behind 2 guys who always seem to get there first, but today I got to go to the fishbowl with a selection of 30 girls. At 5 PM on a Saturday. Lots of hot girls in that line up. It was difficult to choose because there was so much talent. I am a fan again. Chose a thin curvy little spinner from Changsa and I was not disappointed.

Anyway. My feelings about Bodi have been changed again. If they're not busy I think it could be a good choice. Two things I'd change:

1. Sauna girls spend too much time making beds, soapy beds, soap solution, preparing their crazy antiseptic stuff. I guess I'm kind of spoiled by my USA experiences where everything is fully ready for fun and you don't stand there in tiny flip flops watching a girl make the soapy bed ready for 5 minutes.

2. Every time I try to get the sauna girl to vary from her routine, they look at me like I'm crazy and I do know how to speak Chinese. You don't have to catbath every inch of my back and legs. Let's skip most of that and spend more time doing "this". They look at me like I just asked them to do the chicken dance.

Actually I concur with Donald Wise's comparative writing that listening to the Vietnamese language was "like listening to ducks f*cking". Just saying! But seriously, it's glottal stops are rather harsh!

P. S. Donald Wise was a British war correspondent in Vietnam during the 1960's and early 70's.

Ask someone from another culture about your native tongue. You might be surprised. I find Suzhou Dialect a bit softer than Shanghai Hua. Guttural is in the ear of the beholder. Some Chinese I meet say Gernman is easier to learn than English. My study of German certainly helped in learning Chinese. I find this topic more interesting than the long pants versus short pants topic that arises periodically on the Thailand threads. Love you Ikks!

I was just in Jingan and tried out the MP on Beijing Lu. Usually there is a good selection of girls there. However, even when I asked to see several, then only had one available, who was cute enough. She was No 6. She.

Gave a nice litlle oil massage, that was brief. She spoke decent English for those of you who don't speak Chinese. She allowed lots of roaming but dis not really get into it. On the flip a good he but she did get me out in 45 minutes. All in all a decent session for 268 + 100 tip. There are probably better options in the area.

I also stopped by the usual WG bars. Malones is permanently shut down. I asked if they were just renovating but they said no. It is closed. However, Manhattan and Judy's are still going strong. The only difference was the band was much better in Judy's but the girls were equal in number and in quality in both places.

Both were filled with pretty Viet girls and there are many to choose from it that's your thing.

Thank you Five Aces for the great direction. Took the subway, and short walk up changping lu. If you didn't see the Buddha face / statue, you must have gone to the other MP 10 m east, which is closed for renovation when I was there, the one next to the pet shop. The Buddha shop is next to the dental place, you couldn't miss it, a big Buddha face is right in front of the door as you walked in.

Anyway, was there last week, assigned , young early / mid 20's, good look, small be, allowed probing without protest, great tongue, good work ethic. Wish there was more chit chat, but she was very professional, I had a good time, will definitely return for the svc.

If you are at the corner of Shaanxi North and Changping Lu go to the north west corner and walk west down Changping Lu 30 meters.
There is a small strip mall there. I think now there are 2 massage places in the mall but the Buda Place is the furthest west. It has a big Chinese sign
with a smaller less prominent English word MASSAGE at the bottom right on it. You WILL NOT SEE A BUDA STATUE or sign. Go inside and upstairs and you will see a Buda statue.

Is this where you went Doitunderwater? If not where did you get that service?

Visited 1066 Caobao Road recently. It is a sauna near Hongmei Road. Easy to find, from the big 1066 on the outside. Soon, there will be a metro stop in front. The doorman lets you in. At night, be careful, as the hallway is dark. The nice thing about this place is the sense of privacy. They escort you directly from the front door to your room. I wondered if Chinese and foreigners are segregated to different areas, as some guys ahead of me seemed to be escorted off a different direction. I did not hear anyone else.

The guide brought me three girls to select from. That seemed to be all the girls in the section they brought me to. The shortest one was a cutie, and turned out to be a lot of fun. The other two did not appeal to me at all. Unlike older reports, there seems to be only one price here, 900 or so for about 75 minutes. Things change.

You put your stuff in a closet in the room. Then you get the soapy massage, not really nuru, but very nice. This girl did a thing I had never experienced before, sucking hard on my skin while sliding her lips along my entire back. Was interesting. Otherwise she did the normal things for a nuru massage, which I like.

The dry "massage" was also excellent.
