Contacted some of my regulars working in bars, parlors, KTVs. Most of their shops were asked to shut down for 2 - 3 months. Some decided to leave Shanghai for a while, as there will be no business.

I saw a place on Kangding and Jiangning. They were calling me over like the old days but I dare not go in as I had never been there. I know that place has been around for many years though. Anyone ever been there?

It's sad that SNG has been shutdown as I've been using that site for many years. Feel bad for Steven, Judy, etc. If they really got detained because they helped a lot of people throughout the years.

Anyways, I went to both Judy's and Manhattan's on 9/1 (Friday) at around 9 pm.

Noticed lots of independents wandering outside the streets. A couple police officers were monitoring Manhattans in their car. That kind of spooked me.

Anyways, when we went inside Manhattan's, there were barely any girls for some reason. Totally not like before where there were a ton of girls standing on the sides and everywhere.

Next, we went to Judy's which was much of the same.

Eventually someone approached me on the street and offered 1 hour for 1500 which I went for. Normally I would negotiate but I wasn't in the mood.

Service was pretty good, BBJ and Sex. Took about 30 min. Total then she left.

Miss the saunas and especially the cheap massages with happy endings. I used to buy the 5 k cards at Spring Massage which then gave me a nice discount for a 300 RMB massage + tip (sometimes depending on the girl). That was really nice as 1 k could get me 3 massages instead of going for one mediocre sauna experience.

But I renew my question. Is it just an educated guess by your contact that he MAY have been arrested or is your contact (Cathy?) basing it on something solid / has info about the context of his arrestation?

If he was indeed arrested, then who took the site down? And how comes nothing has been said about it in the local media yet when you know how much they'd love to make the arrest of a foreigner doing bad business public.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have avoided many pitfalls by RTFF and taking advice and direction from the many of you who have left FR. In the course of that I met Judy, the call screener for SNG and also several of the nice ladies who have marketed through SNG and have always been fully satisfied by my interactions with them. SNG was the one place I always received what was expected and had some decent idea of how the provider would look when she arrived. I thank you all for your contributions to my education.

In the course of those interactions I maintained communications with several of the young ladies and one of them had confirmed to me the above bad news. Although I have no additional verification beyond SNG being shut down, she tells me that both "Judy" and Stephen have been detained.

She also agreed with my guess that it could be bad to maintain membership in group chats on WeChat regarding various arrangements in Shanghai, in particular there was a chat group focused on KTV arrangements that Judy's alter ego managed. I have quit and deleted that chat group and suggest others do the same to CYA.

That was a silly thing to do. Never follow touts. Especially around Nanjing road. You are lucky you got away without being roughed up and having your credit cards maxed out.

I was in Shanghai near Nanjing Road buying some fake watches and sunglasses. We were approached by one of the shop owners who heard us talking about a massage with a happy ending. He pulled us aside and asked us what we wanted. We said we have to catch our plane but a nice massage with a HJ would work. He said to follow him, we follow him through the back alleys for about 8 minutes. He brings us into this small massage place. We checked it out and the girls were cute so we decided to stay. At the end we both had nice massage with HJ, total cost was 260 rmb each. Sorry but not able to remember where we were. Can't wait to go back, but it sounds like things are changing.
