Hi,

This is my first time traveling to Shanghai, so I do not know the situation around Shanghai right now. I was wondering how safe is it to use one of the Classified Ad link to call an escort (links like http://www.shanghai-escorts.com/ or http://www.escort-shanghai.org/index.php/contact). If they are not safe with the police raidings, are there any alternatives?

What's up all. I'm not that active on this site. Been jumping in Asia for work for a few years now, but only recently spending more time in Shanghai.

I was asked by a large group of ladies from Manhattan to let the forum know that they are moving to Judy's. They are complaining about how Manhattan has been mistreating them (randomly kick out girls; use force on them; make them stand in the rain) and recently started demanding the girls pay 500 - 1000 rmb every night or they don't let them in the bar.

Can anyone else confirm this? This would make no sense. A good part (if not all) of Manhattan draw is the girls. With JUdy's 2 blocks away, it would be obvious for the girls to go down the street.

Personally, I have always preferred (the old) Judy's. The girls were more fun and seemed less focused on money. The last time I went in March however, it seemed the girls at Judy's were on average a notch below Manhattans. I still found most of my gems there and brought them home.

I usually go to Manhattan and got to know some of the ladies. I'm sure you all know many of them are very sweet and provide good service. I'm passing on some information from some of the Manhattan ladies because I want to support them, and update the forum on where a large group of the girls are going to be.

I was asked by a large group of ladies from Manhattan to let the forum know that they are moving to Judy's. They are complaining about how Manhattan has been mistreating them (randomly kick out girls; use force on them; make them stand in the rain) and recently started demanding the girls pay 500 - 1000 rmb every night or they don't let them in the bar.

They could deal with the mistreatment, because they were able to make money, but they cannot accept the bar also trying to scam them for money (the girls do not get any money from customers buying drinks, obviously). They're afraid if they do pay, the bar will continue to make them pay and keep asking for more money.

Personally, I think it's wrong for Manhattan to take advantage of the girls during this scary time, and I don't want to have to pay more or want the girls to make less than they're worth.

Take it FWIW, but my regulars are all now at Judy's. I believe them and doesn't hurt to check out the scene at Judy's to confirm the move. If you're a senior member and want some connects, PM me.

I would proceed with extreme caution. As others have mentioned, these saunas are probably reopening because they need the money, not because it's safe again.

Just got a few messages on Wechat that some of the sauna open recently. Do not know if it is true. Just FYI. You may check you if you still has the Wechat connection.

For the diehards who absolutely have to have some action, here are a few options other than Manhattan and Judy's:

1. Take a short trip to neighboring cities, Suzhou, Nantong, Nanjing, Hangzhou, etc. Most of the sauna girls have left Shanghai either gone home or to another city to find similar work. Even the pimps have done the same, a couple of QQ groups now post for clubs in Nanjing.

2. If you know any of the pimps from your previous visits, contact them and ask if they provide take out services. Some pimps have remained behind to provide for this. Expect prices starting at 1200.

3. Independents. Those who had been independents all along and those from saunas who are now independents due to the nature of the crackdown. If you'd been one of those who keep in contact with the girls after you see them at the saunas, congratulations.

4. Rain. The website is still up. But between Rain's attitude and the LE's cracking my balls, I can't decide which one I would rather deal with.

But guys, I would seriously stay low now. I would not recommend any of the above other than a few regular independents that have become friends over the years. Hopefully things will blow over after the C meeting.

If they got Steven, who was working an excort website, then why not Rain? And besides, Rain is mentally unstable. If you contact her, then I suggest that you don't use a registered number or identifying email or anything that can be traced back to you. She has no problem outing you.

Another question (sorry if it is stupid):

if I talk to a girl there and we will go to my hotel, what will the hotel do? Block me and her? Call police? And will they break my door and catch me or what may happen?

A few years ago, I brought a girl to my hotel. She had been to the same Hotel earlier that evening and registered to another guest. (which I did not know). The hotel told me she was already registered to another room. If I chose to register and bring her to my room, they were required to call the police. Luckily they told me, I am sure there was no need for them to tell me. They may have actually been doing something they shouldn't do as they were keeping me out of trouble. I can imagine under current conditions, they would not want to be involved and may call the cops after I headed to my room with her.

The admissions of guilt from everyone arrested will likely be used against the people that LE regards as the "kingpins", aka Stephen and Judy. In fact, even Stephen and Judy might not have been the real targets. It could be the officials who were paid off. {S N I P}

I have just one question: "How may other Shanghai escort agencies were targeted and their websites shut down in the past few weeks?" I think that I know the answer!

BTW Steven has posted on ISG that he had a close 'friend' who was high up in the force, and, that he also had an escape plan. Here's hoping!
