I doubt anyone who can influence the girl cares to read this forum, would want to take action or could even identify her from your report. You got the wrong audience, and your message is too vague.

Poor service is a problem whether hiring a girl to screw or a guy to put a new roof on your house. Best defense for consumer is sharing names of poor providers with other potential clients.

But getting into conversation in mandarin, she got boorish. I was there last night, in the pedestrian walking street where all the Korean bbq restaurants are (it's at the southeast part of the intersection between Hongquan and Hongxin). I noticed about a half-dozen, maybe more, massage parlors and spas. I wanted to check them out, but I was with colleagues. I was able to get a quick glance at one menu, and prices ranged from 138 to 398. Does anyone have any intel on any of these places since the crackdown?

Judys and Manhattan have IMHO taken a dive. Who wants to go to a place where you pay about US rates for a choice of women from 1 COUNTRY? The prices are way over the odds for what you are getting. Now I have no problem with Vietnamese women at all they can be super hot but when I am in China I do like at least some local flavours too. The fun is not only after you choose but rather is to be had chatting with your mates with girls hanging of every part of you and the furniture. I get that, but gone are the days however when Shanghai was the fun capital of the world.

IMO, short term rates for upscale girls are pretty ridiculous (as pointed out in my San Jose K-girls pricing). But LT still favors Shanghai by a long shot. Main issue is this is Shanghai, if you move 1 hour out (by train), prices will drop considerably. And then theres the cheap local options, but unfortunately, you need to speak mandarin to get those. I still want to find a petite / slim massage girl to take home, but haven't found one with body I like so far.

Speaking of which, I promised Steve9696 for a field report. I went to the foot massage place he outlined a few days ago. Was kind of hard to find (no signs indicating massage in English), but found it. As you enter the hallway you see posters of massages. Was asked in Chinese whether I was here for massage or girl. You can guess what I answered. Girl was 5'5-6/ HWP / Dyed hair. Led upstairs through locked gate to bedroom. Showered (f this humidity). Total damage for 3 BJ / FS quickie was 268. I've been going to Shanghai off and on for the past 8 years. The Mongering scene in Shanghai has already changed a lot in that short time span (mostly downhill).

PB2 K, we've been in touch through PM since a while ago. I agree the SH scene is pretty shit compared to even 3 years back. Most SNs are not advertising as openly and those who are are charging US prices, 1400+ per session. On my way to whatever hotel I'm staying at, I used to see 2-3 BBSs in the evening, now there's nothing. They're still there I'm sure, but not as easy to find. It's my first day in SH for this trip and the prices I'm being quoted are really for the desperate.

The earliest I've been to SH was in 2007. Many options at great prices. Not sure how it was compared with Dongguan at that time, but met so many good looking girls from saunas and BBSs willing to go back to my hotel for long and overnight sessions for 400-700 rmb. Being from out of the country was a huge plus. I think '15 was about when it really started going down hill.

A friendly suggestion to my friends who cannot do outcall or takeout (because (1) wife is at home or (2) hotel is not girl friendly or (3) you're afraid of being seen), try asking the girl to book a short time hotel for you. I got the idea from the infamous Beverly Jones. She suggested it and that's how we always met. Chinese people can book a hotel for 4 hours for 100 RMB. (FYI, I tried to book them myself, but have been denied because I'm a foreigner). I have to admit, you may need to establish trust with a girl first. For example, I had to book a Hotel 168 a few times for the initial rendezvous, which set me back at least 250 RMB (and it's a hassle anyway). But once the girl knows you, you tell her you can only see her if she books the hotel that you'll reimburse. They often will oblige. And girls like Wenli (on classifieds) and the well known Hujing and Maria, and others, all booked the short time hotels for me from the very first encounter. For them, cancellation is fully refundable so they don't care if you flake on the date. Just a suggestion. Probably many of you are already doing this.

It's a good suggestion but might not work as well with the foreign talent in Manhattan and Judy's.

In regards to Manhattan, the intimidation factor is definitely a thing, but I think having a wingman puts a perspective in things. Namely, being with other like minded people may prevent an otherwise lone person from doing something stupid. I would definitely check it out solo, but would prefer to go with someone. Will try this weekend (Friday / Saturday).

Also, it's nice that they blocked my home VPN already (signed up for another service encrypts the handshake). Ironically, my work VPN is also blocked (which has never happened before). I may switch hotels if that's the case.

Suggest you take a taxi to the Blind Pig which is literally 100 feet away. Nice bar. Have a Jack and Coke or two maybe some BBQ and you will be good to brave the onslaught. A little social lubrication really sets you up for a good night.
