Hey guys,

Will be in Shanghai for a long weekend in November and looking for some advice. I'm in my 30's, above average looking and ready to pay, because I will have no time for extensive dating action. My focus is on Asian girls in the age of 20-30, who offer outcall ST or LT. My Chinese is very basic.

I am just ending a 3 week trip here to see my Shanghai girlfriend for the first time since the epidemic. Besides the obvious good time it seems a little barren now. The streets are cleaned up. As others have mentioned, given your time constraints, your options are a bit limited. There are a couple of shops on Lancun Road opposite the Hilton Pudong, but they're not so near PVG, about 20-30 min by taxi. I was doing some jobs in that area a couple of years ago, and at that time I think it was around 400-500 for an hour oil massage which included a standard HJ by a late 30's average looking provider in normal unsexy uniform. However, as it's been a couple of years since I was last in that area, I don't know if the shops or services are still the same.

Thanks. I have read through recent posts but it looks a lot more challenging in Shanghai these days and given my time constraint I need to set a target location and go for it. So I was really just asking what might be logistically the best option. I do of course note the other reply to my original question that my layover isn't long enough. In the past I would have headed to one of the spas in the airport hotels for a rub and tug but I'm not sure if this is still an option.

Most likely a scam I would say, as I have heard of fake providers taking 200 rmb deposits and then disappearing. Remember that 200 rmb is still a fair amount of money to some in China in these less desirable economic times, and so to them it's worth the hustle.

It is not just your 200 it is 200 multiplied by number of victims per day or week. Even one victim per day equals 6000 per month.

Despite the fact that I'd spent time exchanging messages, arranging the visit, traveling there etc. There was no way I was transferring any money on WeChat. Case closed.

While I was on the way she asked me to transfer 200 RMB up front on WeChat, to confirm I was coming. I said that I only pay in cash and that there are too many scams involving WeChat payment. I posted a photo showing that I was only a couple of metro stops away. She replied and said that if I couldn't make the WeChat transfer, another monger was waiting and could make the upfront payment. I insisted that I only pay cash (by this point I was just round the corner from her place). She then said the other guy just paid the deposit and that she'll take him instead, so that was it.

The bar scams, tearoom scams, practice english scams, etc that we are talking about goes something like this: she takes you somewhere, she orders, and then she goes to the bathroom and never comes back, and the bill arrives and it is thousands of RMB. All you did was buy someone who was very hungry some food.

Back then I wasn't sure if it was a scam or not. Just seemed a little fishy to me at the time. But I guess the fact that I didn't score would confirm your point. LOL! Glad to say I haven't been scammed out of RMB like you guys mentioned.

I recently matched with a few girls on tinder and had two specific experiences that I thought I would share.

After matching with the girl, she will typically ask you to meet her close to her "place". Both girls asked me to meet in the proximity of 湖21271;36335;31119;24030;36335; 七20998;29980;38376;21475;35265; which makes me think the scam is operating predominantly put pf this area. They seem to target foreigners and have no issue using English to communicate (but I used mandarin).

After meeting with the girl she will walk with you and then ask if you want a drink.

With the first girl I was brought to a bar. The menu had incredibly inflated drink and food prices. And she proceeded to order a large amount of food and drinks. For two people we had 32 shots of tequila, a large plate of desserts, and two or three cocktails with the total coming to 2800 rmb.

I got hit by a similar scam from tinder girl. First meet she suggest a hot pot place a few minutes after we meet and I agreed. Proceeds to order all sorts of expensive stuff and alcohol. This was not a high class looking spot so I didn't really pay attention to prices. I thought it would be 1-2 k at most. When the bill came it was over 10k. I negotiated it down to half but still got ripped off badly.

If you find yourself in this position just call the cops. That’s what I regret not doing. It was my first date in China and I was caught unaware and didn’t know how to respond. I will just meet girls for coffee dates first meeting and if they insist on drinking I know it’s probably a scam.

Yes it's good to be careful of scams, but some guys just get wayy too paranoid when all the girl wanted was have drinks, eat and get to know you. Unless one's got the looks of an actor, being stingy and paranoid on your first date is the sure-fire way to not get laid.

(I'm not referencing anyone here BTW, just observations of guys I have personally seen).
