I have not written much lately. Do not believe in writing without adding new information. Have not seen much information about the sauna at the fake market in a while. It was closed, but is now up and running again.

It is easy to find. Just enter the Fake market, on the first floor keep left and walk 15 meter. Then there is a door / plastic cover leading to a lobby. Keep right, take the elevator to the 6th floor. Then on the left side is the place.

I was there, price 880 RMB for 80 minutes. On the way out, who was also leaving, I was asked by a local what I had paid. He had paid the same.

I was happy with the 80 minutes with number 22. Only complaint was that she put on a porno on the screen. I do not need that.

What time do you arrive? Most saunas don't open until 1pm or 2pm. Most BBS places open around 11am or so. If you arrive during the day, I would recommend storing your bags, then jump on the Maglev to Longyang Lu station. You are a short walk from several BBS places and Longhao Spa Chamber. You are also a very short taxi ride from Bodi. A roundtrip maglev ticket is cheap and can have you close to the action in 10 minutes instead of a 40 minute taxi ride.

If you are able to actually leave the airport, and if you are at the Pudong airport, you have plenty of time to RTFF back a couple of months and see exact instructions on how to get to Bodi Sauna, kick heels for 70 or 90 minutes and get back to the airport with lots of time to spare. Actually, if you have an extra 200 RMB for cab fare, you could hit pretty much any of the saunas with that kind of time. It's all in here already.

Well the last time I was in this sauna was some months ago so I don't know today's situation.

But the sauna is in the premises of the former NAKADA / Zhongtian Sauna which was really popular some years back.

Even inside the room you can see the old name everywhere.

The process is the same as all the other wet sauna, you get the room with the wet and dry area,

The deal was 880rmb for 90 minutes.

Line up usually 10-20 girls depending on how busy they are.

Service has usually been decent, as always it depends how you click with the girl.

Manager (if still the same) could speak a bit of english.

It's a handy place if you are in the area, but as I said it's starting to feel the weight of the years and the place doesn't look very luxurious like some more popular places you see recently.

Now the name is Xinghe, xian xia lu I think, very very near Sheraton Hongqiao.

Yes, agree with you that asking prices have gone up – like other places, the girls have become spoiled in terms of prices. Getting the prices down is more art than science and it depends on each girl. Places around century park, jinqiao, dongfang Road are rife with gougers. The more local places in pudong are definitely out in the sticks more: beicai, zhangjiang, chuansha, north of jinqiao – much less expat traffic.

Most of the girls figure they won't see you again so if you ask them they will 100% high ball you on the tip and hope that anchors the negotiation in their favor. Practically speaking, it's a bit harder to negotiate in a HJ massage place as by the time you are having the conversation with the girl you are probably already showered and on the bed wearing their massage shorts. Harder to 'walk away' in that situation. A strategy for you would be to offer them 200rmb and when they pull their sob story or stink face, just tell them matter of fact that that is what you pay elsewhere and is more than some other places where you are a 'lao ke'. Then say, 'wow I liked you, would have like to be a repeat customer for you, but if you are pulling this, then sorry, can't afford you and don't want to'. Also, each girl always has a monthly quota they have to fulfill, which is why they always try to sell the fckn member card to you – just tell them that if you had liked them you might have considered helping them next time or down the line with the card, but if they expect tips like that, forget it.

You can definitely bargain the quote at the beginning and it's the smart thing to do, however it does break the mood and if the girl is unhappy with the tip that you won't budge on then, you can expect a shitty service. Also, if you try to negotiate in the middle of the massage while she's teasing your willy wonka, you are not going to get very far or again, you'll get a shitty service / attitude (which breaks the mood and pleasant experience of the massage) – if she is unhappy with what she will get at the end. If you tip at the end, and even if the tip is fair, the girl will still try to pull a long face to get more money out of your pocket. It's just the nature of the game – I've come to the conclusion that invariably someone will be somewhat unhappy (when it's a first time in a HJ massage place) with the tip – either the girl, or the guy who gets buyer-regret for over-tipping. If I don't want to get into their pants, I'the rather it be her genuinely unhappy / or acting unhappy to get more. Just to be clear, I already think my tipping is fair and it is definitely more than locals will give.

Personally I try to follow the guideline of 100 rmb for a 60/90 minute session. Or 100 rmb per pop if it's over a 90 minute session. I don't think the girls should ever get over 100rmb per hour, unless they have three arms or a PhD in HJ massages and blew my mind. This is still more than some of the locals who might get away with a 50rmb tip for 60 minutes, but I've heard it's getting harder for them too. A typical session for me would be 200rmb tip for 2 hours and 2 pops. The last time I can remember giving 100rmb for 2 hours was at least over a year and a half ago, so maybe the girls have also brainwashed / trained me over time. I have budged on occasion and given 300 for 2 hours, but it's when I really really like the new girl and plan on repeats to eventually bone her. And I'm pretty jaded when it comes to shanghai working chicks. Honestly. 100rmb per hour is WAY more than fair, just it depends on whether the guy has the stomach to deal with the unhappy girl at the end of the massage once she receives her tip – she can't really complain to the manager or anyone. I've had some girls tell me, some guys even walk out without tipping and there's nothing they can do – it is still illegal activity after all and also the management will not regulate it – but I think most of us are gentlemen to an extent.

If you are going to be a repeat customer then things change in your favor. I have some girls who do BBBJs and some who will do FS for their regular tip, but it has taken some time to develop the relationship and get to that (as most things in China). That's the upside of HJ massages, services and value improves the longer you know a girl. I've even negotiated some girls down (after a couple / few trips) , by telling them that I like them and their service and I would like to see them more often, but the tip is too high and there are other places with better value for me, but I would rather keep going to them. They usually budge as consistent income for them is still valuable.

For two girls, you would unfortunately have to tip them both even though you only have one dick to go around. If you are here longer term, best method is to establish a long-term girl, and then bring it up to her that you would like to have 2 girls and can she bring someone she knows and has worked with before because you want a really really hot experience.

Overall I think I have been too easy / quick to pay such high tips and guess some other members here as well. New member on ISG. Read many pages on shanghai thread. Going to be in Shanghai from coming Monday to Thursday. Going to stay at Holiday Inn downtown.

I need the address of Manhattan, Bodi sauna or anyother sauna you guys can recommend near by that area.

Want to know how far its from Huai Hai road or Downtwon area. If possible need address in Chinese so that I can easily reach there by showing it to the taxi driver.

If you are staying at the Vista Holiday Inn. 700 Changshou Lu, there is a decent sauna on the 4th floor. Quality of the experience depends on the luck of the draw, which girl you get, but there have been some gems there. If you are staying at the one on Heng Feng, I don't think they have an in house sauna and you will have to hit one of the places mentioned often here by taxi.
